  1. The voltage drop is not an issue , it is a feature, it initializes the higher voltage for the transient from changing from lower state to an higher state to make sure of stability and once it runs for awhile it drops down to a lower voltage to continue steady state use of the clocks.
  2. @svl7 , I would like to test out the Experimental Undervolted GTX 680M vbios of 80.04.33.00.10 edition for the p150HM.
  3. I would like to test a modified version of the new vbios for the P1XXHM series , but i most likely wont get to it till mid December since most of my Engineering Senior Projects is on this comp ..
  4. Lol its all good , anyway sv7 it is not ur fault it is mine since I jump the gun and didn't check tonrac previous post about the new BIOS not working , also tonrac I love u I realized that I didn't change my boot priority listing to USB first so I had to remove my hdd first to get it to boot on usb
  5. It doesn't post , it shows the BIOS screen then beeps 3 times then goes to a blank screen with a blinking underscore so it doesn't look like I can boot the USB but I will see if I can
  6. Well it looks like P150hm doesn't boot anymore , the screen and shows the BIOS symbol but doesn't start The start up process and it bleeps 3 times and then goes to a screen with a blinking underscore on the top right ,will a autobat file fix this by flashing the original vbios on it
  7. interesting, with the new Clevo OC vbios , I can use my gtx 680M to the full power even on battery :\... didn't test for long since i don't want anything to go wrong but it still initializes it
  8. all GTX 680M have two seperate 3d voltages, one is the transient 3d voltage to initialize the clocks speeds and the other is takes over after the initial boost to maintain the clocks. so this one has .987 and then goes to .962 , also another is the the 1.05 volt which goes to 1.037
  9. I actually believe that we need better PSU to overclock further because i was watching my Wattage consumption and it hovered around mid 170ish so :\
  10. thx it worked really well however i believe im gonna need something stronger than 180W PSU , I was on stock bios with an OC of +135 core and mem was +600 and my comp shut off so it looks like I need something around 200 W meh.. im now running +170 core and 0 mem which isnt balanced but does improve fps
  11. @svl7 can you make a clevo version with the voltages at 1.025/1.00 i want to see if it is PSU issue, it might not be but it may work and also a 1.037/1.012 version aswell if you don't mind
  12. Im getting better results with the new vbios however i am seeing throttling but not constant throttling, it goes fluctates every second from full power 3d to throttle an then goes back up to full 3d then back, very quickly @svl7 could you mod it so that the voltage is 1.037/1.012 and the default core is 900/2200 like the msi vbios thx :Dalso nice job on the clevo vbios Edit: also it didn't fluctuate at the stock speeds , so it could be the unlocked portion that is messing it up
  13. It with the modified msi vbios but it was tested to see if the psu was the issue by testing the msi OC edition only vbios also I use a clevo card
  14. The gtx 680M on the p150hm with msi vbios doesn't go into full 3d clocks , it stays at low level 2d clocks 324 core but the memory does go up to 2200 also its not a psu issue since it happens on the stock voltage msi vbios l
  15. @svl7 It looks like the MSI vBios does cause an idling issue on the P150HM with the GTX 680M , Just tested it myself
  16. here you go , sorry it took soo long, I was asleep lol wait didn't realize the the last 4 digits changed brb nvcv.zip
  17. its not reading it properly just go to device manager and go to the whatever is under your Display adapters and then go to properties and then go to Hardware_ids and paste what is there and then I can try to modify the driver so that the drivers install Yep only on the HM , also HTWingNut posted saltius vbios in his review thread , both are MSI so you should be fine but I'm not sure what voltage the one on this site are at.
  18. You have p170EM, you can try to flash the MSI vbios to get Overvolt , as far as I know the MSI bios work well with the EM series, also it is the one everyone at NBR are using to get over 8000 3dmark11 scores
  19. It looks like your bios isn't recognizing the GTX 680M properly , go into device manager and see what it says under hardware_ids , you might need modify inf to install drivers.
  20. Tonrac stated it there , i'm hoping soon to get the GTX 680M , im overseas so im can't get it delivered yet, also tonrac said that they were both stock voltage but unlocked.
  21. I wonder why the gtx 680M behaves differently with the msi bios on the p150hm vs the p170hm
  22. you should still be able to flash it , .209 must be a file version or something like that. but you should confirm with svl7
  23. Ya I think I got what you were saying when I researched what ISA was lol also thx for the small hint for finding stuff I think I got the core and mem speeds but not sure. Also if the core clocks suppose to be stated twice since out P0 and P1 are the same ?
  24. lol i was wondering because I will be taking a MicroAvionics class next semester and we will be learning assembly code so I thought it should be similar since gpu is basically a microcontroller but looking around it seems it can be done with a hex editor i will try to figure this out
