Don't know if you guys have seen this, but HWbot.org has changed thier scoring algorithms a bit. Looks like it has worked to our benefit. I think anyhow. Don't remember where exactly we were. But here are some screen shots of out team, and I posted my profile and one of my benches to show how the scoring has changed a bit. A few more catagories, which I think pushes the point to BENCH EVERYTHING. It doesn't matter if its a 1MHz single core! Quick question, on the registry guide it has the second registry change missing. Another individual noted that it should be " HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Processor be changed to "4" as well Just making sure this is accurate.

@ichime, have you made any progress on this project? I should be receiving my spare base and lid in the next few days. Havn't decided what I want to do with it. Either keep my system silver (color of new parts) or powder coat, paint or anodize. Anodizing would be perferred, however I'm guessing much more costly. Painting may look tacky, and wear very easy. Powder coating I feel may cheapen the feel if it. Still have some deciding to do, and wanted to see if you had made progress or how it turned out.

Hey guys, just wanted to share something (Hope you don't mind Brian, but feel free to delete if necessary) since a lot of members here are also members over at the other forum. Although I have my cards undervolted and at stock clocks.

What we should do is carry benching programs on a thumb drive on a key chain. Then we can bench everything we come across lol.

I definately got a kick out of this thread. Agree with much of it too. If I were a mod over at NBR, I'd be a MOD that got banned. I'd be deleting posts left and right, and swinging my ban hammer like Sammy Sosa!.

Anyone have some nVidia cards I can bench? Maybe 4870x2? Or perhaps a 6970? Maybe some CPUs? As far as CPUs looking for i7 620M or 640M, 820M and 840M

I just added about 8.4 pts. I have added some hardware though. I'm so tempted to flash my cards to a Firepro's, but if it doesn't work out, than I don't want to be out all that money. But I could rack up enough points to surpass NBR I think. I'm definately wanting to get some cards too.

Thanks @svl7, I should be submitting a few more tonight. So that should be around another 8 pts. How far are we from NBRs team? We definately need to get more people on the team. I know there are more benchers. I havn't really pushed, just did enough for points. Maybe if I ever had time I would do more.

That May work but there are still bios related throttling issues. Not sure it'd be worth it. Mostly because i don't have the talent.

Well, back in the game, 540M is up and running, and I'm running it at 1.4v. Only VID5->VSS. Scoring global boints on dice. Choped some time off mt 32M and 1024M. Now running 1024 at 4117 MHz. Should be good for some globals. Also going to switch to team T|I before I submit miy scores

Well, other cpu's work, the 540M is giving me BSOD.

Actually think it may be my benching drive. Going to reimage.

Think I killed my 540M lol. It' just gives a bunch of BSOD boots.

So I booted with VID5 -> VSS and it's at 1.4 with no bios voltage. Going to see what I can do on this, but it doesn't look to offer more stability And the 540M is stuck at 19x for the multip rather than the 23 it should be at.
