  1. Prema has a lot of work to do... Unless you want to donate 20+ bucks to his coffee fund, [removed] Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk ADMIN: Insulting other forum members is not tolerated here. Keep things civil.
  2. People buy them they just don't talk about it here. Personally I'd raid 256. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  3. Guess that driver was before the split....hmmm Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  4. The power limit is too low. But watch dogs at msaa 8x at stock is incredible. Also nvidia blocked overclocking in their later drivers. Fox's driver is a mod that allows overclocking. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  5. Tried them. 1300MHz but the power target is still locked and my cards hit the upper 80s. Nvidia set the target so low that my 1300 drops to 800... Yet stock clocks, its 1126 the whole time. Nvidia did something stupid like the 880M Although at least these boost the whole time, the 880M was such a nightmare! Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  6. Really? I haven't tried but I just tried and precision crashed and MSI kept resetting to zero and then inspector won't even slide from zero. Back to 344.24 for me. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  7. Eh, no reason to install, not worried about overclocking. At least not right now. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  8. Careful, even with modded inf some drivers will not work for 980M. Get the latest 9xxM from nVidias site or you might just get a white flash and a black screen and if you have windows 8 or 8.1 getting into safe mode is a pain so read how to do that first. First hand experience. And I swear Colorado is invading. I'm in Denver by the Capitol myself. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  9. I'll have these (980s) soon if you want Clevo dumps @svl7 since they work on any machine that is MXM 3.0b Hit me up. No, they don't need to be overclocked especially in SLI (load balancing bad drivers aside) but I'll gladly contribute the BIOS. Machine was sent yesterday to Sager, 880s going to be 980s. But I'm not going to be a Guinea pig again, I'll help any way I can except Guinea pigging. Don't think my M17xR1 can handle any more fussing with it before a clip or sleuthing goes poof and these cards are 720 a piece at rjtech. Anyway they promised before Christmas and I purchased shipping that's 3 day so it's not standard ground fare... I'll dump them if you have not gotten Clevo dumps already.
  10. Wish I could trade them my 880s for like 200 a piece towards a pair of 970M lol. But thanks for finding the cover, never would have thought it would be called a CPU cover module of all things lol. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  11. You rock man. If Sager keeps dicking me around on getting my master fan replaced, I see they sell them too... 40 is steep for a fan but I can't take the squealing... Fan noise: http://youtu.be/xvaQQIKKH7Y Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  12. Wonder if they have similar pricing for the P377SM-A... I've been thinking about contacting them anyway about some 970M cards but I've been hoping Sager would step up and take some responsibility and honor their warranty but don't get me started. Never again. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  13. One of these days I need to get around to doing those hard mods... I just don't want to pay 80 bucks for a replacement bottom case which is the quote Xotic got from Sager. Would be nice to actually have my cards run even 993MHz without throttling. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  14. Make sure your power supply can handle the increase though. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  15. Depends on if your system will POST with no graphics card. Clevo machines do not as I found out the hard way so fixing a soft brick involved me taking my card and putting it in my old Alienware M17xR1 and reflashing it. If your machine will POST without a graphics card being detected, you make sure that your USB drive with the vbios is set as the default boot device and credit a batch file that will reflash your cards and just do it blindly. Last option if you can't fix it with your own machine and you don't know anyone who has an MXM machine to flash it for you, you either buy a vbios chip on eBay and fix it yourself by soldering a new chip, send the card off to someone else who is able to do the fix for you, or you see how much your manufacturer will charge you to fix your error, bearing in mind that they may void the entire system warranty and refuse to help you get a new card or they may charge you the full cost of a new card plus shipping and labor, or you'll have to buy a compatible replacement on eBay. 16. No problem, I had the same confusion when I saw the update but when I clicked the link it was correct Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  17. The link goes to 302 303, its just the text that is wrong. If you click it, it says 32_33 stock. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  18. There's your answer. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  19. Those questions I can not answer for you, hopefully someone else can chime in. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  20. Unfortunately yes. And that's where my irritation with the sound blaster software comes in because it throws a fit when I hook up my playstation gold wireless USB headset. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  21. It didn't for me. But at the same time, it doesn't have hardly any effect when it "works" either as I said. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  22. Install sound blaster x-fi mb3, that's what made mine work. It will not do anything without it. With that said, its not much better than not having it, these sound systems are cheap. It's not worth the hassle if you ask me, the sound blaster software is annoying. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  23. Yay! Thanks Prema, I was freaking out! Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  24. Oh no, no P377? Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  25. That makes perfect sense, its a Dell base. The weird thing though is that it will work in legacy boot until you tweak with XTU, then it will either get into a start up and shut down loop (old EC) or now won't POST at all (new EC). It's not a big deal since I can't manage the heat of the vbios but it will be a big deal when I get the 9xx cards so I hope nVidia has a working vbios out of the box. Thanks Prema Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
