I purchased a CM-Storm 19 cooling pad, and it shreds. It requires a separate power outlet, but 2 120mm fans keep the bottom nice and cool. There is still hot flow coming from the video cards, but that gets taken care of easily

I'd be interested to find out as well. It's a slim chance, but I might want to use a DVD drive at some point. Is there anything that would work in the meantime? Or am I stuck having to find one that slots with the Ultrabay?

System RAM doesn't affect your video performance. More RAM will usually let your games run better, but video cards have their own dedicated, on-board RAM

Is it possible to write anything to the SSD partition? or is it locked to boot only? (I was also told it's just a cache and not a true SSD)

I got 16gb because it was only a little bit more than the 8gb model (maybe 50 bucks) plus I tend to have a lot of intensive programs running and I figure I could use overhead.
