same happened too me too as i changed my thermal compound and heat-pads but my card still working (680m), no issues since half year.

As i started to get code 43 my 680m was briked, you can try to flash back your original vBios, i hope your card still working, always check the temps. -
where you bought the 680m GPU? Was this GPU for Alienware or for MSI/Clevo? I think you need a special vBios for Alienware.

Which vBios is the best for MSI 680m, the 1000v OV MSI looks very interesting, is it worth to try?
