Any news on this guys or is it considered a failure ? I am also experiencing the same issue on a Barebone 1763-001 (780m GTX version)
I'll see if I can find a custom vbios since @svl7 left?
-
It's a SOIC chip.
-
Yes, that is the chip.
-
If that's your board, then it looks like the bios chip is soldered between the first and second pci-e slot.
There's a header next to it that might be wired to it and could allow you to reprogram the chip without soldering.
Thanks @Conker for finding the board with so few information.
What can I use to program it?
-
i7-920, nvidia 660ti.
-
So I guess I need a new bios chip. Where is it located???
-
Hmm, will this possibly work on this laptop with a I5-3335/7 u ( Aspire V5-572P-6646 ). It's an UltraBook.

can this work with my aw 18. Has serious problems with 780m sli and 4930mx ( Throttling) I think I might give up and stick with my m15x
-
Well, Knowing MSI they are the only one I see with a 675mx. My friend has a gt60 and it came with a 675mx. Chances are that it still has MSI vbios and it won't boot

@FireStorm It's not a bad card it just does not have the alienware vbios on it. @svl7 is a master on these things lol

Umm, they should be able to, but I'd wait out out a while till MSI gives out the word.
