  1. For all BF4 gamers. 1. Upgrade to the latest GPU drivers 2. Unpark all cores 3. Turn v-sync on but cap fps at 58 in order to prevent tearing No stuttering. I have a W230ST playing at 1080p, high settings. You should do better cause you have more powerful rigs. Enjoy.
  2. Thank you very much my friend, one question though. If something goes wrong will I be able to revert back all my lappy won't be able to boot. . Sorry for asking, just want to be sure. Thanks again. I appreciate.
  3. Dear Prema is it possible to flash my GTX 765m bios in order to unlock the sliders in Nividia inspector? However I would like to stick to the clevo stock bios and firmware for the moment. I would appreciate your help and understanding.
  4. StamatisX and Prema thank you a lot for your feedback, I appreciate that knowledge is shared otherwise we all get stuck in the Stone Age. . By flashing with the Prema's mod bios that will give me more room for playing with the sliders in nvidia inspector but how safe is it to raise the voltage and by what amount in order not to fry the gpu? Thank you all and keep up with the good work. Prema that is an impressive benchmark for the tiny beast ! This is actually the result of a GTX 770m What is your OC Voltage, CPU & GPU temps? Do you provide extra cooling by some means or everything is stock? Do you keep those settings in your everyday use or is it only for benchmark purpose? I mean is it safe to keep those settings forever or you use them only for gaming? I am sorry for the questions, I am new in overclocking and trying to catch up.
  5. Hi guys somebody help me out.... I have a W230ST core i7 4700MQ with 8GB of ram. I have overclocked the machine with nvidia inspector with the following settings. +135mhz on the core clocks and +400mhz on the memory clock. It won't go more than that as 3D MARK 2011 crashes. I am getting a score of 4778 but some people are getting a lot more than that. What to do? I am using a Thermaltake cooling pad which does a good job with the temps (lowering CPU up to 5 degrees centigrade - not bad for a €20 cooler). Any suggestions on how to improve my 3D MARK score? Should I overvolt the GPU a bit in order to balance the high clocks? I don't know what to do. I appreciate an answer from the forum.
  6. Dear members I am starting this post as it would be nice to share our experiences in tweaking using the Prema Bios Mod. What would be the settings for tweaking using intel xtu and nvidia inspector? You are welcome to share your experiences.
  7. Yes I agree with jacky803, it would be nice to go through a tutorial on the Prema's new bios mod for the W230ST so that we can optmum for MAXIMUM performance. Thanks a lot guys.
  8. Based on your expertise what are the optimum settings in your latest bios mod? System is as follows: cpu: 4700mq video: gtx765m ram: samsung 8bg 1600 mhz ddr3 Is it possible for the samsung ram without heasink to be overclocked at least to 1866 mhz?
  9. Dear Prema, after doing some homework with your 3D mark results I have concluded that your mod is super cool. You actually get more than 1000 3d marks which brings your system up to a new level. It's like you have upgraded your graphics card to gtx 770m which is 25 - 35 % in terms of fps if I am not mistaken. I have 2 more questions for you and I would appreciate if you could answer me. 1. Since I am rookie and I believe a lot of people out there are like me, could you please give us exact steps on how to upgrade both EC FIRMWARE and BIOS so that we don't mess up with our systems. I would mostly appreciate your help. 2. What happens with warranty? Can I go back to the stock BIOS in case of RMA? If everything goes well I would be happy to make a donation. Thank you. You are unbelievable. Keep up the good work.
  10. Hi guys I am new to the forum. I would like to know by updating my bios and firmware to the very latest will I get performance in games in terms of fps. Can somebody prove this with numbers? If not then why would someone want to update his BIOS and / or FIRMWARE? Unless there are hardware issues that need to be solved that my reseller did not consider updating me.
  11. Dear Prema congratulations for your hard work. I need your help please. My W230ST has a 4700MQ CPU, during booting it shows 3.2 ghz, shouldn't be 3.4ghz? I mean this extra 200 hz make a difference he he he.....My bios is 1.00.04. Is it that bad or should I update? Please enlighten me.
  12. I just notice that when I switch on my w230st when it boots to windows 7 pro wifi takes a long time to connect. Is that a bios issue or something else? My adapter is Broadcom 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter
  13. Guys my BIOS version is 1.00.04. Should I update to BIOS:1.00.05 (some people have this)? Where to get it? Will it make any difference? Thank you.
