I have actually been gaming on my m17xr2 and am having a few issues which I am assuming it heat related.While playing dirt 3, gta and bf3beta every now and then I have had a blue screen saying hardware malfunction please contact your vendor. See Twitter / DanXbix: Alienware http://t.co/W ... real temp has recorded temps of 99c on CPU and 85c on GPU1While gaming I am getting frame drops and short pauses (throttling?) I am getting worried my m1730 days are repeating also run dell diagnostics and getting an error code in regards to LCD brightness??? Have warranty until end of 2013 but worried they are just going to stuff it up with refurb parts? Any ideas???

just extended warranty on my m17xr2 for another 2 years for $424aus woohoo was going to get 6970m's cards hope it was worth it! love this m17xr2 One problem is SLI micro-stuttering and throttling of cards, does anyone have this issue?

i am ready for a m18x lol

hi guys i bought one of these off ebay not really reading description (IBM card) Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 wireless card A/B/G/N (eBay item 390307758326 end time 20-Jul-11 17:29:55 AEST) : Computers installed in my m17xr2 and getting CODE 10 (cannot start device) with latest intel drivers & IBM Drivers. any ideas

I have emailed Pkhetan for a set and Xfire cable. He's not sure if the clevo x7200 Xfire cable is the correct length for the m17xR2 anyone know how long the m17xR2 one is compared to the x7200 or does anyone know where i get a 5870m Xfire cable. Also will my heat sinks be reusable from my 285m GTX's?

I had BSOD issues myself on my R2 when i first installed windows 7. I ran a secure erase in linux and never had anymore problems On My R2

returned unit and got a vertex 3 120gb ready for when i get m18x will post pic of benchmarks soon

Hey dude not totally sure what you mean as windows not installed yet. Is your SSD showing as DISK 0 in windows manage hdd tool?

after getting a faulty Vertex 2 i swapped it for a Vertex 3 120gb (ready for m18x upgrade) when i go into bios(A10) Drives show up as Sata Operation - AHCI Sata Hard Drive 1 - OCZ 120gb Sata Hard Drive 2 - Momentus XT 500gb (firmware DEM1 ??? dell accidentally gave me this drive with my other Momentus 500gb ) When i go to install windows 7 and before install (SHIFT F10 to bring up cmd) i run diskpart - list disks and it always shows DISK 0 - Online - 465GB (HDD) DISK 1 - Online - 111GB (SSD) Shouldn't this be the other way around as it causes problems when mklink /J on "User" dir to HDD. If i take HDD out and run diskpart it show as DISK 0 (make it active and it boots to windows) soon as i put HDD back in it becomes DISK 1 again. OCZ is installed near battery and HDD next to the CPU (so right locations) driving me mad as i just want to move User dir to HDD. any help would be fantastic __________________

Brand new and they are the results!! Taking it back tomorrow! The local pc shop has taken all stock off the shelf as 2 more of the same model were yielding the same results. Should I just get a vertex 3 (ready for m18x upgrade) instead or another brand. Thanks dude

Vertex 2 faulty? took it to local pc shop and they tested some more of the same model with much the same results [ATTACH=CONFIG]646[/ATTACH] it has really bad write speeds. what should i do? One bonus i just relised is dell gave me a Seagate Momentus XT (ST95005620AS) 500 GB as one of my 500gb drives running in raid0 the other is a ST9500420AS :
