  1. "and the laptop adaptor is making "ticking" sound with a high rate" Are you sure it's from the adaptator? On old games my gpu's condensators make this kind of noise. If an overclock is not stable anymore, it's maybe a driver issue.
  2. "GPU temp was in range from 31-65 (over 55 mostly on that last test)" I was thinking about gpu throttling, but with this temps, it's impossible, did you run the test just after a reboot? I have far better perfs after a reboot, and how is your gpu usage during the test? Sometimes my gpu stay to 45/50% of usage on cryengine games, and I must reboot few time to get it back to its usuals 99/100%.
  3. Hi, with stocks clocks and vbios I'm reaching 89° and throttle around 732mhz on games like Crysis 3 / BF4, even with a dock (3 fan just under gpu and cpu), cooler boost, and a thermal repaste of the gpu. One month ago, a friend let me try his HD8970M (from a GX70), and the perfs where awesome and temps nice (around 72° after 30min of Crysis 3, without a dock) The cpu (i7 3630qm) temps reach 84° after 30min of stress test. Before I thinked that the 8970m was only a better and more efficient gpu than my 680m, but after some searches, I discovered that the 680m is supposed to have lower temps than a 7970m and a 8970m. So I was wondering, what is causing this insane heat? Thank you, And sorry for my bad english.

    Safe overclocking?

I'm at 906mhz (I can't go further) for base clock and 2500mhz for memory without overvolting, and everything is working fine, a little more heat than before.
  5. I'm happy with my GT60 0ne, silent, not very big, and affordable for a laptop with an i7 and a 680m (I take it during the summer sale, 1700$ instead of 2250 with asus), I'm a bit disappointed with performance, my desktop with i5 + 560 ti is better for gaming. My friend bought recently a gx60 (1150 with Hitman Abslution), he is experiencing some issues with the HDD (always at 99% of usage), but for the price he is happy with it, the screen and the sound are awesome for this price.
