Hello Everyone, I'm fairly new to the forums and have tried to search for any thread regarding this issue but have not found any yet. The issue I am having is with programs such as 3D Marks, and other games stating that my video card does not support DirectX11 when I know it does for a fact. I have updated, removed and then updated, etc. the drivers and no one can seem to give me an answer why this pops up and prevents me from running some programs. Has anyone else come across this issue and did you discover a fix? Again, I searched the forums but if I missed a specific related thread, please just give me a friendly nudge in that direction and I will head that way. I have an MSI GT70 Dominator Pro with a NVidia GeForce GTX880m 8gb card and 32 gb of ram. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you for the detailed review. I only wish I would have found it before I purchased my new laptop. I still love it but feel like I got screwed on the card. On a side note, during your testing, have you ever come across errors with the system /game / anything saying that the 880m does not support directX11 or anything along those lines?

Have the Acer computers improved much over the past few years in quality for games? What games do you normally play?

Thanks for the info guys. I am still working on a finding a good modded bios for the g75vw ASUS computer and after reading this thread, I believe I will just attempt the software route for improvements before a complete upgrade on my laptop video card.
