  1. I replaced my wifi card with a nice 6235 from intel. Seems to work great. If it's worth it? Not really. I would go with external solutions and big antenna's. The difference is marginal on my setup.
  2. Aren't there BIOS settings which do that ? I don't know where you base yourself at but my turbo boost works just fine and is always around 2.8-3 GHz. I have the i5 model and SLI. :/
  3. On a 802.11g network with 3.5 - 4.0 MB/s peak over ethernet: Stock: 8.5 MB/s DL Intel Centrino 6235 Advanced-N 13 MB/s Upload rate was nearly the same. Tests done on www.speedtest.net. Note you can buy an extra antenna cable and probably buy the 6300 Ultimate
  4. maybe they did it on purpose so we could see the 650M overclock better
  5. what voltage does the 650M compared to the 750M run at?
  6. Windows 8 is much much better than Windows 7 once you have managed to handle that baby. Go with Windows 8. Don't change back. Read some tutorials on how to use the new functions in windows 8 and you are set to go. thats what i did. im happy with windows 8. inbox driver support is also much better for me.
  7. I have difficulties playing PS2 games in PCSX2 I own. My PS2 broke down one year ago. I had a 2500K which could play ok when overclocked at 4.4GHz. Now I wanted to replace my 3210m i5 cpu by a i7 model. I believe the 3610 or 3630QM models will do. However I see some priced around 300€ and I start wondering if that's really worth it. By the time I have another 1100$ I will be looking at the Haswell models in autumn. It seems stupid to buy a new CPU for just virtualization with VMWare, PCSX2 and ArmA 3
  8. Ultrabook, SmartPhone, Laptop, Desktop, Server, & Embedded? Intel Go to driver downloads Software products Chipset software Intel usb 3.0 extensible host controller driver Download the latest for windows 7. Thats where i got mine for windows 7 in the past
  9. I say you better spent the money on something like a Lenovo Y500 with a i7 and SLI setupt. It's probably faster than that laptop you bought and only costs 1200$. Even Alienware is cheaper I think
  10. I remember someone saying on biosmods.com that they use a hexeditor to modify the clocks. And then they saved the bios. And next they corrected the last byte or checksum with nibitor. I am not touching anything after I bricked my HP laptop doing that. One mistake and you are screwed paying 200 euros for a new motherboard. I am waiting for the GT-750M vBIOS and BIOS to leak and then I am going to ask to put the GT650M voltages and clocks to be the same as GT750M.
  11. Does the same also happens on Windows 8? I say it's a driver problem in Windows 7 if not then it's hardware. Check if it works properly in Windows 8. If it does it's software problem. If not hardware.
  12. how much did you guys pay for a 2920XM. It costs like 1000 euros which is way too much. I think
