  1. Finally... Obviously it's not finished yet, still needs the heatpipes and fins mounted to it. Got it milled as a custom job at a small German company which mainly specializes on liquid cooling solutions for Desktop hardware (liquid-extasy.de). It wasn't cheap, but one has to take into account that it's a single custom piece, and setting up the machine etc. simply needs some time. Considering this I'd say the price was fair, and so far I'm very happy with the result, though I only did some quick checks as I didn't have time for a thorough examination. The only negative point is that it took way too long to get manufactured. The agreed deadline has not been met at all, which is naturally highly unacceptable. Anyway, I finally got my milled piece of copper, and as already mentioned, so far the quality of the work seems excellent. One thing I worried about were the mounting posts for the clips of the original M15x heatsink, which I use in my custom design as well. It seems my measuring has been accurate enough (fortunately!!) and the milling is highly precise as well (didn't measure it so far, but the clips fit perfectly ) Also notice the MXM backplate looking through the holes in the clips in the last picture, a quite important detail... since it indicates that my design is precise. I'm really happy that all seems to be fine so far, I hope that I can finish this soon.

  2. I wanted to recommend a rather old (2001) but great movie. it had quite an effect on me while i was growing up. I totally forgot about it and something i saw today reminded me, so here i am sharing it with T|I. The movie explores the "Lucid Dreaming" phenomenon, and is generally quite enlightening and thought provoking. At some point of my life i was very interested in the subject, and even succeeded to have a lucid dream a few times, i later abandoned the subject due to ... well... life but it fascinates me nevertheless. The movie is build as a series of intellectual dialogs that the main character is having with various people during his lucid dream. It's quite long, so i suggest watching it in parts. here's the excerpt from IMDB: Had anyone seen it ? Or going to after this intro ?

  3. Funny you mentioned it. I just (tonight) had several lucid dreams within other dreams, some I figured they were dreams, for some other I did not. One of them had me as a protagonist in some kind of mix between GTA and Fallout themed world ... why throw money on real games . Its just that there is this lack of multiplayer and in addition I always remember very little afterward. I read about it quite a bit and I found the easiest way to check whether you are dreaming is to find some text around try to read it once then look away and then look back and see if there is the same text. It worked for me in pretty much 100% of the cases. The only thing is you have to remember to do it, so it may be helpful to practice during daytime. It's quite fun actually once you figure out, since you can do whatever you want. For example, you can fly around, have sex with whomever you want, go wherever you please.... whats not to like about it. My top achievement in lucid dreaming is I figured I was dreaming the night before one of my exams and managed to think about some problems I had issues with when I was awake. It helped and I eventually solved them after I got up. I managed to do that only once tho. I just wish I could it more often and make better use of my time when I am sleep. Oh and I will definitely take a look at that movie!
