pri plane current limit is set to 0(auto)..is turning that value up to 864 dangerous? and what does the 864 represent milliwatts or something?

It's perfectly safe, i7-2720QM max short turbo power limit 60 watts (R3 BIOS 55W), Pri Plane Current Limit 0/auto (776=97 amps) 108 multiplied by 8=864, 108A will sustain 57-60W just monitor temps.

BIOS -> Power -> Advanced CPU Control -> Turbo PWR Limit MSR Lock -> Disabled

Override Turbo Settings Enabled

Long Duration Power limit 60

Long Duration Time Window 56

Short Duration Power Limit Enabled

Short Duration Power Limit 60

-> F10

ThrottletStop folder -> delete ThrottleStop.ini -> run throttlestop -> TPL 60W-56-60W -> Apply.

I dont know what I fucked up but my temps have been lower, and it seems as if it is running worse, framerate is lower.. might be the new drivers but idk. Wasn't this bad lol. Probably going to just un do this..

XTU or TS won't work with m17x R4 in terms of increasing TDP. Even with unlocked bios and proper settings such as msr lock disabled, I found it is impossible in m17x R4 to increase the stock TDP of CPU.

I have tested this with four m17x R4 and a few CPUs (XM and QM), and nothing helped to increase the stock TDP setting.

XM CPU wont consume more than 67w and QM 55w.

If anybody can prove I am wrong, I would be more than happy to know how to break the "intel law" in m17x R4.

I would like to know too.
