Techies around please? I need your advice about this? My internet is so slow especially that I'm using both my android phones, tablet and my  personal computer.  I'm thinking that i need to maximize my internet speed performance. Though, I'm just wondering, how would I start with it? Do you think that access points is related with internet speed? How does it works and which is best suitable? I want something that is cost effective. It's a great help to hear from you guys.

It all boils down to your service provider and the package/option that you're paying for. Hardware is secondary.

Thanks for you input. Now does that mean that I don't have to consider an access point? My current internet plan is set at 5 Mbps. I've ran a speed test and it doesn't even come close to 1.2 Mbps when I'm connecting all of my devices. But when I'm only using one device at a time, the signal and speed is fairly good so it doesn't have anything to do with the plan I signed up for.  I've also read articles online that a good access point could allocate used bandwidth to different devices which in turn can maximize the wireless connection.

Does anyone here know of wireless access points like the one by Cisco or Aerohive, only much cheaper but with the same specs? I want to use my internet plan to its optimum capacity and to not be restricted. What's the cheapest one that you know of? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
