Bartek1599
It's my first post here, so hello all My english is far from perfection, so please forgive me my mistakes I searched a lot of threads here and I haven't found a satisfactory answer. My laptop is Lenovo Y50-70 with GPU 860M (4GB memory). It's probably Maxwell because GPU-Z showing chip GM107, and deafult clock is 1020MHz. I've overclocked this card to +135Mhz for GPU clock and +600Mhz for memory clock. GPU is stable and the temperature doesn't exceed 60°C so I think, that's possible to overclock GPU clock more than 135Mhz but I can't because of the Bios restriction... So my questions is: -What can I do to remove this restriction? I've seen a lot of a modded Bios for 860M with kepler, but nothing for Maxwell :/ -I need to find the modded Bios exactly for my laptop model, or I have to be careful only because of GPU model, or maybe the modded Bios must be created exactly for my laptop and based on backup of my Bios? -How to safely flash it and someday return to the original Bios? I overclocked a lot of PC's in Bios but I've never trying it with laptop so I would appreciate any help Thank you in advance
tom10122
You need a custom bios to unlock it, no other way around it. You can try to put in a request here http://forum.techinferno.com/general-notebook-discussions/4635-bios-vbios-modification-request-thread-svl7.html . I couldn't find a modded bios either.
