arturpataki Posted March 20, 2015 Share Posted March 20, 2015 Hy, my alienware ( m17x R4 ) is overheating.I have done everything that i could.I edit video on my laptop, when rendering my cpu stays at 92-96C , and drops the cpu frequency to 3.1Anyone have this problem ?? Any ideea for a solution ?? ( i have tried : cpu paste ( arctic 5 ); cooler change; cooling pad ( u3 ) , cleaning ) nothing works. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Wlodipawel87 Posted April 27, 2015 Share Posted April 27, 2015 What is your room temp. ?i had exactly same problem when I put to much thermal paste on cpu and make sure that the heatsink is Mounted correctly (strong) enought to cpu. Also make sure there is enought space on the back of alien to blow out warm air.Can u tell us your cpu voltage ? Did u get it 2nd hand?
