can u tell us more inf what exactly happpend? does it power on ? have u tried to use heat gun?

Is your problem solved? i would ask is your game genuine or pirate? if 2nd option i would say crack isnt good. Common problems with pirate games.

What is your room temp. ? i had exactly same problem when I put to much thermal paste on cpu and make sure that the heatsink is Mounted correctly (strong) enought to cpu. Also make sure there is enought space on the back of alien to blow out warm air. Can u tell us your cpu voltage ? Did u get it 2nd hand? Maybe bios is modded with higher voltage? My cup temp (no oc) never goes over 75*.

As its my first post I would like to say hello to all of u. i went through all 150 pages in this topic and I'm lost now. bought an Alienware m17x r4 2 months ago with gtx 680m and thinking to upgrade to 970m in plug and play way. because of I'm running on w8.1 with newest bios a13 would I avoid any problems ?would that be enough to swap old gpu with new one and install modified inf files for drivers? And what about Optimus mode ? Would 2 options run correctly ? I'm just trying to find out before I spend 600€ .
