orlov Posted September 27, 2014 Share Posted September 27, 2014 Hi, gtx560m in my msi GT683 died, since i dont really need this laptop for anything more than browsing internet etc these days. i'd like to ask if there are any cheap cards that would work in this laptop that wouldn't require a lot of customization? mw86 Posted September 29, 2014 Share Posted September 29, 2014 My brothers laptop had a GT130m and it never worked good, I dont recomend that particular gpu. I had the same laptop model and gpu and although mine didnt have physical problems like his I got rid of it for its very poor performance. Even for no gaming i dont recommend it. Performance is very bad on browsing with gpu rendering anything. They could overclock and all but seems that the gpu is hit or miss from what I read online too. iTzZent Posted September 29, 2014 Share Posted September 29, 2014 This card works perfectly with the MS-16F2 Barebone: Ms-1w031 Mxm 3.0 Gpu Nvidia Gt555m Msi Schenker Xmg Medion Erazer Grafikkarte | eBay and around 100€ is a good price for a MXM Card.
