Bugii
Hello,is it possible to install cooler boost 2 heatsink to older MSI GT laptops (GT780/783, 2012 GT70, ...) ?from pictures, it looks like only GPU heatsink is different, having the one extra pipe that connects to cpu heatsink by two screws and there is thermal pad in between.chassi size should be the same so it should fit.Did anyone try ?Are the temps really better ?I know it should split the temps when cpu or gpu is idle, but what about when in full load ?I was thinking of getting one and modifying it with dremel to fit 7970m.I'm not sure if it fits the old cpu heatsink though. Mike3433
I wasn't aware of this cooler boost 2 until finding this thread, any tips where to purchase one? I've been searching but only found the original heatsink format. I need something like this before upgrading the cpu!
