GT70 2OD - GTX780M is now recognized as Tesla K10 and doesnt work

Having problem with my GT70 and really looking for help.

Here is the story.

I bought GT70-2OD from HIDEvolution 4.5 months ago (well, not GT70-2OD exactly, but full equivalent, MS-1763 with GTX780M)

It worked fine but 3 days ago, suddenly during my working day (I did some programming in Visual Studio, not gaming, etc) FAN started to run at MAX speed (really laud). There was not any heavy CPU usage, I waited for few minutes, but FAN didnt stopped.

So I decided to restart it, and then after OS started all graphic settings was defaulted and then I realized that I'm on integrated graphics and NVIDIA card started to be recognized by Windows as NVIDIA Tesla K10.

And FAN keeps running at max speed.

Anyway long story short:

• I came to conclusion that my GTX780M died. Even in DOS it is recognized as Tesla K10 by nvflash (tried to flash new bios to try and fix problem, but nvflash refusing to flash or even do VBIOS backup, saying that EEPROM is unknown). And of course that newborn Tesla K10 doesnt work in Windows, Windows reporting it as problem device in Device Manager, saying that it do not have sufficient resources or something like this.
  
• FAN keeps running at max speed and it is VERY loud. My guess is that GTX fails to report its temperature and then EC deciding to run FAN at max speed.
  This happens even if I disconnect GTX and run my laptop without it on integrated graphics only. For first 1 or 2 minutes after laptop is powered on, FAN keeps running on reasonable speed, almost silent (as it used to work before) but then it always switching to MAX speed and never stops. FAN didn't stop even after restart; it returns to normal speed only after shutting laptop down, and then it works normally for 1-2 minutes and then goes to MAX speed again. This happens even if I keep sitting in BIOS screen (e.g. without loading OS), so this must be really low-level problem.
  

I tried all options I found to control FAN speed with no luck (tried RWevertyhing with fan control scripts found here) - no luck - FAN keeps running at 100%

So, why I'm sharing this with you guys, I have few questions, and would be great to get some good advices:

1) Do you agree that the entire problem caused by failed GTX780M and not something more generic (like motherboard problem, or MXM bus or chipset, dont know)

2) Can someone suggest me some ways to slowdown the FAN (as I said above I already tried Dave Pearson's GT70 2OD FAN CONTROL v1.6.2 scripts with no luck)

3) Any other advice to try to diagnose or isolate problem?

I would RMA that unit, but this is problematic, because I live outside of US and would need to ship this back to HIDEvolution, where they can diagnose and fix it, and then ship back to me. Shipping cost for me would be around $200 and I would need to wait for maybe 2 months or something like that. I cant afford that, money no problem, but time is, I actually need that laptop for everyday work and cant send it for repairing for 2 months.

In fact, I already tried my luck and ordered GTX880M as replacement for my died 780M (I *really* hope that my problem is died video card); and now I need to live and work with that laptop for about 2-3 weeks until I receive my new GTX880M. And loud fan is really giving me hard time, because it really, I mean really loud.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Yes your graphic card is died. In new cards, model of card(Quadro or Tesla or GTX) is given by a combination of resistors, which in turn determines the specific combination of the voltage at the output ports of the graphics chip. Something died in the voltage supply around the chip. While you wait for the new 880 card you just need to disconnect and remove the old 780.

For scientific experiment, it would be very interesting(in your case) to try to establish professional drivers for Nvidia Tesla K10.

It would also be very interesting to try to flash with programmer device videobios from Tesla K10 and then install professional drivers for Tesla K10.
