svl7 5711 Posted March 24, 2014 Can you upload a copy of your current vbios? Use atiflash for dumping.

MasterInTheUniverse 17 Posted March 24, 2014 Instead, can you give me a vbios for my clevo p170em?
svl7 5711 Posted March 24, 2014 Possibly, not sure which one will work best, but as you need to flash it anyway just make a dump of your current vbios so that I know which one doesn't seem to work well.

MasterInTheUniverse 17 Posted March 27, 2014 Prema helped me and I flashed the vbios...the same this vbios can't be read by gpu-z....however with overvolt in sapphire trixx I can reach very good clock on gpu (for the momento 1150 mhz) but the clock of ram is very lock... I cant improve 50mhz (1300MHZ ) either that it causes freeze.moreover the clock of the ram (1250mhz) is a bottleneck that doesn't let me enjoy the benefits of overclock on gpu clock. Infact on 3dm11 @def the score is p7250 points , with gpu overclocked only a little more....does a vbios "oc mode" exist?
svl7 5711 Posted March 27, 2014 Still interested in your original dump.
Guest Posted March 27, 2014 AFAIK the vRAM isn't as easy to OC as on previous cards.Take a look here:http://forum.techinferno.com/clevo/4316-%5Bguide%5D-amd-hd7970m-enduro-vbios-modify-flashing-p1x0em-etc.html
POWER 10 Posted March 27, 2014 @ MasterInTheUniverseI wanna upgrade my P-1xxEm with a 8970M and I read your thread here but I dont know why do you flashed a new vBIOSversion? What is better/different? Do you had stability problems with your old vBIOS?
MasterInTheUniverse 17 Posted March 27, 2014 ok, it's official, I can not reap the benefits of overclocking...it' like if I didn't overclock....the fps on BF4 are the same @ 900/1250 and 1200/1250, as the 3dm11 and unigine heaven too...HOWEVER great card on BF4 flies! POWER 10 Posted May 21, 2014 Just to clarify...my vBios detection works correct with a 8970M in a Clevo P170EM.
krissjr 10 Posted November 21, 2016 @POWER Where did you get the vBIOS from, did it come already flashed or did you do it yourself? If so, where did you find it? I also have a P170EM. My 7970M failed so I'm gonna get a cheap 8970M.
robinlecouteur 0 Posted February 10, 2017 https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/?architecture=&manufacturer=&model=HD+8970M&interface=&memType=&memSize=&since= This is where you get the vbioses, if it is not already flashed.
