cainseriph Posted March 14, 2014 Share Posted March 14, 2014 I am fairly new into coding aside from small stuff in the past like LUA script adjustments so I cannot boast the full potential of Sublime Text 2, personally I was fine with Gedit and Notepad++. But definitely have warmed up to it practically instantly, and with its growing development, can see why its winning over so many coders. So far any of my personal friends I've shown it to have made the same jump to using Sublime solely even over Coda, as for the price the $70 seems more then fair for the product. Especially considering the fact if there is not and addon or extension to better assist you at the current, the potential is there to add it yourself. Honestly you can demo it all you want without restriction, also quite amazing, but development costs and it helps version 3 reach completion and beyond. Another quick love is I personally tend to run multiple OSes between a fairly varied set of machines, and any time I am able to use a tool or application across the board I'm a happy panda. Now on Ubuntu 13.10 I do have issues with the package control, but I personally blame 13.10 more than anything and really wish I had stuck with 12.04 for several reasons *"broken Gnome in RDP" cough*. In the end tho the truth is it will fall on what usage you will get from it, personal user experience, and perceived value of product.
