kpdominicano
Ok so after a failed attempt at installing a gtx 780m after it died only a week of barely any use...didnt even get the chance to do any gaming whatsoever only ran benchmarks on it, it bears me to ask the question, which gpu can i install on my M15x to get the best gaming performance without having the gpu go dead on me? chopsy
I had a new gtx 680m die on me in 3 days. Then I got a gtx 780m and it's working fine. I too tend to say it's bad luck.
kpdominicano
Damn that sucks i wouldnt wanna spend another $700+ just to see if it actually was a bad card cant afford that right now although i wasnt all that impressed in benchmark scores it was only 1000 pts higher than my gtx 670m
chopsy
I think I read somewhere of a video card that had the same issues, and it turned out that it wasn't completely dead. It still worked in sli as slave, but was not recognized as primary. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
kpdominicano
Do you happen to know where you read it from?
chopsy
Here it is : link . But I see now that it's a different thing, his POSTS, yours does not. In my case, the card used to POST but i had black screen so I used an external monitor, but after 2 minutes the screen froze and then it didn't even POST. I never figured out what the problem was.
