Damn that sucks i wouldnt wanna spend another $700+ just to see if it actually was a bad card cant afford that right now although i wasnt all that impressed in benchmark scores it was only 1000 pts higher than my gtx 670m

Ok so after a failed attempt at installing a gtx 780m after it died only a week of barely any use...didnt even get the chance to do any gaming whatsoever only ran benchmarks on it, it bears me to ask the question, which gpu can i install on my M15x to get the best gaming performance without having the gpu go dead on me?

Yup i plugged in my gtx670m...laptop works fine - - - Updated - - - Although initially i thought the mobo was the problem cuz when i first put the old one in the laptop wouldnt come on

When u say remove the mobo battery do u mean leave it unplugged from the mobo and try to restart?

Yes i had flashed it...the most ive done on it was test 3dmark06 benchmarks had new thermal pads and evrything i was waiting for my usb soundcard to arrive to finally do some gaming and this happens :'(

Now i have a big problem...for about a week that i had the 780m installed it was working fine until today. I was doing some web surfing out of the blue the screen went black...i tried to restart but now all the laptop does is the scroll lock and caps lock lights blink, and the num lock stays solid...ive only had this gpu in for about a week and i havent doen any gaming on it cuz of the sound issue...HELP!!!

Hey everyone. I recently upgraded my gpu with the gtx780m. unfortunately, since i am new to this site, i cannot download the modified vbios for this gpu yet. so im still on the locked vbios. i have the gpu installed, but in order for me to be able use my laptop i have to disable the audio card from the bios, which i read somewhere on this site. has anyone been able to get their m15x to fully work properly sound and all, or do i need to wait until i flash my gpu to the unlocked version? any help is appreciated. thank you

What do you mean by pull the center pin from the 240 brick? like break it off from the connector?
