mikecnp Posted February 11, 2013 Share Posted February 11, 2013 Hi I have a Alienware M17x built 07/30/2009 would like to upgrade it but don't know if it is R1 or R2 is there a easy way to find out? it looks exactly like my son's R3 (was mine got talked into trading so I got the older one) any help or advise will be appreciated. svl7 Posted February 11, 2013 Share Posted February 11, 2013 The build date says M17x R1, the came with the first generation of the Intel i7 series CPUs which didn't get released until September 09.
