Raz5555
There has been this annoying bug with Win 7 on Acer laptops, that freezes up the system once data transfers larger than about 100MB are attempted through the USB ports. This seems to occur through transfer of large files, or collections of smaller ones (a photo album for example). Microsoft published an update to adress the Win 7 USB drivers, many users though still seem to report system freezing despite the update. Alternatively, USB devices will suddenly be "disconnected" (with disconnection sound and all) and will not be recognised again without a system reboot (There have also been cases where USB sticks weren't identified ever again - at least not without a new Win 7 installation)Has anyone else heard of any workaround for this issue? Many theories on the origin of the issue have been flying around forums and boards, but it's generally accepted that it's the Win 7 USB drivers that play up
ajbutch123
I would first check for a bios update... that may be your problem!
