    Wireless AC Cards

Anyone able to recommend a great wireless card for a laptop?
  3. I purchased a Killer Wireless-N to replaced the Intel 2230 that my Y500 came with. So I ran some quick tests, on the 5-ghz and 2.4-ghz bands using speed test and my NAS. 5-ghz Speed Test Ping 25 ms Download 26.16 mbps Upload 5.37 mbps NAS Download 12 mbps Upload 6 mbps 2.4-ghz Speed Test Ping 25 ms Download 15.97 mbps Upload 5.22 mbps NAS Download 3 mbps Upload 1 mbps Ethernet Speed Test Ping 15 ms Download 27.35 mbps Upload 5.41 mbps NAS Download 9.1 mbps Upload 15.2 mbps All in all the Killer so far seems like a very good card, adding only 10 ms of ping when compared to Ethernet. I will probably update this post as I collect real world observations.
  4. I have been looking for a wireless backlit keyboard. The Logitech K800, K810, K830 surely are excellent options; however, I am not comfortable spending eighty plus dollars on a keyboard. Less than a handful of alternatives were found on Amazon, such as Azio, Ivation, Perixx, SHARKK (alphabetical order), in the proximity of thirty-five bucks. Among them, Periboard 808 is the newest model, so I decided to give it a try. Some pictures: Pros: - Huge battery capacity, 1900mAh. I have been using it at full brightness for 2 weeks without recharging (3hr on weekday, 8hr on weekend). - Thin and lightweight - Signal range > 12 meter, within line-of-sight. So far no experience on connection or character lost, on android or PC. Cons: - Plastic build. ( Check out SHARKK if you want metallic build) - Light leakage at the edges of keys, a lot.
  5. Hi guys, New here and i need your help I have an MSI GE60 laptop and im a big fan of it, my issue is that the Wireless card an Intel Centrino 135 is Pitiful to say the least for my needs (i work with 5ghz alot) so i need to upgrade the card my friend recommended an Intel Centrino 2605 it seem good and offers great speed. but i soon as i swap the card and install the drivers im hit by some sort of software lock which don't let me use it (apparently Intel don;t like you swapping out the cards" so my question is there a way i can get this working because i would hate to lose this laptop due to a small issue like this a program i can run, some code i could run anything would be a great help! I seem to get the issue saying that [h=1]Wireless Hardware is not bound to transport driver (can anyone elaborate)? [/h] Thanks!
