  1. sorry for delays, been very busy with uni work, the AMD firepro M6000 is a 7870 just for future reference.
  2. Nevermind sorted. the card is fully compliant. plug and play no mods what so ever required and runs very cool.
  3. I purchased a Dell Amd Firepro M6000 for my Alienware m15x due to the fact it was £75 new and couldn't pass it up. now the hard stuff, has anyone attempted to install such a card in the m15x ? will it work ? the card will not arrive till Tuesday so I am just after info on what is needed to get it to work if possible. thanks in advance.
  4. right i've mod the inf file myself and now have the driver installed on the latest nvidia driver 314.07 and its working perfectly inc brightness,Audio,DP and internal monitor. and to make me even more of a happy chappy its actualy a 2GB card not the 1GB a advertised been playing bf3 for well over 1hr and temps bounce between 84-87c top high for my liking so i will repaste once my new thermal pads arrive. can any body tell me where i cover on the graphic cards with the thermal pads please ? thankyou.
  5. hello to all, can anybody tell me where to put the thermal pads on a dell Nvidia GTX660m that i just purchased to upgrade the Nvidia GTX260m that was in my Alienware M15x, thankyou. Card arrived this morning and installed fine with 1.0mm copper shim, kept the thermal pads that were on the heatsink from the Nvidia 260m for the time being, system picks up the card, internal monitor is working fine but drivers from Nvidia will not install, so i downloaded drivers from eurocom (why i dont know) as its a dell card i thought i'd just give it ago. They also failed to install "card not supported" or works to that effect. can some body assist me with this problem please, thankyou.
