Read it and weep, Quodros do kick a Geforce in the ass. Got this k4000m clocking the same speed a 970m GTX can at under 60C. Fan is going at 100%!

This is why Nvidia wants to kill overclocking. The quodros are a beast at OC! Thanks for the unlocked bios! Geforce ain't Sith spit to a Quodro....I will always buy Fire Pro or Quodro frrom now on.

Think if it were a k5100m.....It would eat a 980m and hold pair with 980m sli. I am sold on CAD cards being converted to gamer style beast!

Uh post some game benchmarks and 3DMark/Unigine. 980M and 970M would eat it alive, as would 680M/780M/870M/880M.

Also I've seen 675MX OC much higher. Core is average, memory is below average.

Apparently not. The two DSR settings show up in Nvidia Control Panel but you can't actually select the downsampling resolutions in-game.

I agree with Ethrem on this one. Let's see how things pan out first. With the recent influx of "security updates" to old drivers as a response to the mobile G-Sync driver that put egg on Nvidia's face, I expect them to do something along the lines of what Ethrem described.

The laptop's HM76 chipset does not support RAID.

The 16GB mSATA caching SSD that comes with some models (my Y500 has one) is not set up in RAID though Intel SRT. It uses ExpressCache software from Condusiv.

Exactly that. Similar to what happened to the 760m/765m, or a gimped down GM204... any of these solutions would have been better than the worst and cheapest of all: a slightly overclocked 860m.

Well they won't cut down GM204 any more than 965M already is, so it would have to be GM206 if it has fewer than 1024 shaders. I'm just surprised there is no mobile GM206 at all this gen by the looks of it.

Wow... I could puke... I thought the 960m would at least have more shader cores available (840 pipelines or so, just something in between 1024 cores (965m) and 640 cores (860m). Hope dies last. Hope died right now. Wanted to buy a new midrange laptop next month. Not anymore. Don't know what to buy. Certainly not that renamed crap of a 860m which is over 1 year old at this point. This is ridiculous.

And AMD has nothing to offer for competition, so Nvidia can just f*** around all they want. Nvidia f**** around with bad news until now and keep f**** around. Again... I could puke. If the mod is not publishing this comment because of swearing I would understand it. I am just so frustrated.

Yeah disappointing. A 768 or 896 shader GM206 would've been much better. Or even an underclocked 965M which is a halved GM204, similar to how 760M was an underclocked 765M. There's no reason to get a 960M now over an 860M, esp. if its vBIOS is clockblocked.

Yep, that's the way to go. Stabilize core clock and then bump memory up until right before scores drop. Scores fall off a cliff when memory is unstable due to GDDR5 being crash resistant.

Nvidia has done so many unconventional things with the Maxwell architecture, like the partially disabled ROP/MC partition on 970, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it's true

This doesn't work. I've tried it on all 3 of my laptops. 765m 870m and 970m. worked on non of them

Installed GFE the other day and it worked on my Y500 with 650M SLI.

Does anybody know why we can't use desktop capture on mobile GPUs?

Because Nvidia hates its notebook users and loves artificially limiting us. Although if you don't have Optimus, you can enable it with this hack: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/808226/-solution-shadowplays-desktop-capture-for-notebooks-laptops/
