P.S.: Do you guys think we will need to use the new drivers when DX12 arrives?
This is for certain. New WDDM 2.0 compatible drivers for Windows 10 and DX12.

You already told me about your temps. I need to know your clock speeds and usage in-game.
-
Good luck, if this is what it will come to.
Maybe start by looking in nvapi.dll and nvapi64.dll, check for differences between 347.xx and prior drivers...

Hey guys, I know NBR is a four-letter word around these parts, but could you please take a look at my post over there and do whatever you can to make some noise about this issue? At the very least send emails to the 3 Nvidia employees @Brian mentioned and sign the petition, although a mass Twitter campaign is probably going to be the best bet.

What does it say for PerfCap reason in GPU-Z? Did you try maxing out power limit in Inspector?
-
It's already 85C non-overclocked? How hot is it when overclocked?
Yeah brick is the charger.
-
Which laptop is this, what are your temps, and how many watts is your power brick?
-
What are your CPU and GPU clock speeds and usage while playing? Monitor them in real-time using an OSD such as RTSS.
-
7970M. It's faster.
-
Make sure neither CPU nor GPU is overheating or throttling. Also try using ThrottleStop.
-
Yes. I works perfectly except I can only push my 4700mq up to 34x/4 cores.
That's the max you can do on a 4700MQ. A BIOS mod won't get you higher.
-
Yep, only DDR4 will get 16GB DIMMs.
-
Awesome man thanks.. Ill try it then.. Only problem now is i cant seem to download the stuff.. TechInferno still wont let me download even after fulfilling the new member requirements.
Need minimum 5 posts.

there is a dsr option in bf4 thou...but bf4 is just demanding there is not much possible over 130% resolutions even with overclocking
Built-in supersampling, not DSR.
-
Yup, it's soldered, but if you could somehow get it off just google the socket and see what other CPUs you could fit in there. Beware of the TDP limit though because the cooling system may not be able to handle a 57w processor from haswell.
This. It can't even handle a standard 47W 4700MQ as it is.
-
i cant find the dsr option in the driver?! im using 344.75
Not enabled on laptops yet.
-
Will I be able to control fan speed with this mod? Overclock CPU & GPU?
Thanks.
No, no, and yes.
-
I'm currently running W8.1 64-bit with BIOS V2.04. Can I apply this mod on my machine?
Thanks.
Yes.
-
Sorry, Broadwell CPUs are all soldered.

Look in your wireless card advanced settings.

Personally anything over 60Hz makes my eyes hurt and gives me eye fatigue. I think a lot of people are with me on that.
Actually it does the complete opposite, and I'm not sure I've ever heard anyone besides you say this. If I may ask, have your ever even tried a 120/144 Hz LCD or a CRT that could go up to 240 Hz? With CRTs, 60 Hz was unusable due to the flicker. You had to run at least 85 Hz if you wanted any chance for your eyes to survive.

Mind providing the 'how to do yerself' tutorial?
p/s: 'm new here.
No tutorial, just remove a few screws. Very simple as you can see from the photos: http://forum.techinferno.com/lenovo-ibm/3310-pictures-disassembled-y500-ultrabay-gpu.html

i heard the gtx 980m is good at gaming but, anything using CUDA or compute type of applications its bad. what do you think ?
Yeah it is a GeForce (gaming card) not a Quadro or Tesla. For any GPU compute tasks employing double-precision floating point calculations, it is absolutely terrible, just like every other GeForce not named Titan.
7970m vs GTX 770M

Yeah man, overclock it. With an unlocked vBIOS and good cooling there's a ton of headroom.
