  1. Hi there! Hi svl7! One question I forgot to ask last time: Do all of your 680m clevo Bios have the Standard core clock set to 758mhz or are there some who have a higher default value? Thank you very much for your answer! Best regards phila
  2. For better cooling - have a look here: Bessere Lüftung für das CLEVO P150hm If your german is not that good, just watch the pics at the bottom of the thread. Best regards Phila
  3. Hi happycamper! Yes, we got the same rig. Average temp in my Room is 22C. With the stated oc I reach 84-85C in demanding scenes. This are high, but not too high temps. In my other notebook i got the 580m that i oced as well (Temps up to 90C in summertime) and she is still alive. All the new generations of chips will autothrottle at dangerous Temps (580m did this at 97C). So you should not get any Problems with a Max of 85C. With OC you get artifacts sooner but they wont ruin your card, they are just ingame irritations. I found Crysis 2 or Saints Row 3rd very good in testing for artifacts as both games start showing artifacts long before the drivers crash. Yet, you have to realize, that no two cards are the same - might be you get artifacts sooner/later than anyone else... Best regards. Phila
  4. Hi! I guess it has something to do with the ability of Kepler to detect Benchmarks/Burn in Tests... If a benchmark/burn in test is detected the chip will auto-throttle. With the new bios this might be interrupted, resulting in higher frames. About your temps in Crysis 3... What kind of rig do you have? MSI, Clevo? Alienware? On my Clevo I don´t get past 77C in C3 - with svl7's 80.04.33.00.10 @ 958/2385 I don`t get past 85C. Best regards Phila
  5. Hi! I had the same problem... Someone told me to use the Windows 98 DOS Files to make a bootable drive... This allowed nvflash to work. Best regards Phila
  6. Hi! I did some testing with different oc settings. Seems I got the choice between 980/2250 and 950/2385 - more will cause driver to crash. Which settings should I prefere? I should guess 950/2385 as this means 32% to core and ram?! Or am I mistaken? Thy for your opinion. Best regards Phila
  7. Hi there! I read through the other thread about the 680m and her safest and full potential. Yet in this thread an other vbios is in use. I flashed my 680m with svl7`s "standard" bios (no overvolting). So let me post my question here: I and am curious to know, what settings you guys can run with standard voltage in every-day-use. Will 980 / 2450 be to high? Thx for your comments! Best regards. Phila
  8. Thank you for your help! I succeeded in flashing the vbios. Now I can start to figure out the best settings. Best regards Phila
  9. Hi svl7! Thank you very much for your quick reply. Unfortunately after reaching the command line in dos my machine won`t respond to the "nvflash -a" or "nvflash -b filename.rom" command. After I enter the commands i just get a flashing cursor in the next line. Besides that... nothing happens... even though I waited for minutes. Do you have any idea what might be the cause of this? Thanks and best regards. Phila
  10. Hi svl7! First of all let me say: Thank you for your efforts! Great work! I read around in your thread a little (not all 101 Pages ;-). Yet, I can not decide if I should try to flash my clevo P150em 680m. What makes me hesitate: - Does flashing the vbios mean I will lose the mobility of the 680m (Will it still clock down if it´s power is not requested)? - Does flashing interfere with nVidia Optimus (Will i still be able to just use the HD4000 to save power on the go)? - You talk about havon g the latest bios installed before flashing vbios. I use the latest bios approved by mysn.de (for the P502) but is that sufficient? - How dangerous is flashing, as I read some horrible threads about blackscreens etc. on other forums. - Finally: I am not sure if I want to overvolt the 680m. I´d Just raise the 135mhz cap. Does this make sense? And if so: Which buils of your bios would you recommend? Thx for your patience! Best regards Phila
