Ok, thank you. As for your problem: I don't seem to have any problems running win8 Pro on a GT683R machine, but I am running it on a virtual machine. Depending on your bios, you may check in it if BIOS USB 3.0 Support is enabled. Hope it helps.

Hm... And no tweaking in the BIOS? My problem is that I installed windows phone 8 sdk, but the emulator does not start (it complains about the SLAT). Now, I have already checked if the CPU on my GT683R supports SLAT (apparently it does) so my only guess is that it is not enable from BIOS. Tried to check this, but to my surprise, the BIOS provided by MSI only offers very little options. So, do you happen to know if the SLAT was by default enabled? (I would not flash the bios if it is not absolutely necessary). Thx again, Mihai
