  1. Ivé not noticed any memory leaks, it actualy handles memory allocation way better than W7 :S Do you have any facts that back this up? No tools have been removed, they have even made recource detailjs more accecable and easier to read, so no i i dont agree with that one. If you are gonna use W7 you might as well just not use the metro interface at all, problem solved. No start menu = Easier to get used to productivity commands as win+r and win+e.. ivé actually improved my own productivity since i started using W8 the same was as i use W7 but without a start menu, it just took a couple of weeks to get in to it! Try it! Cheers!
  2. With Nvidia inspector you are able to clock the P5 state, so in theory, if you rly want to overclock it : You should be able to clock the P5 state and then force the GPU to enter that state with a simple .bat command Google nvidia inspector + a tutorial on how to overclock and also how to change the P-state cheers!
  3. Oh, heh.. i rly should learn to read posts all the way through Um, well.. i answered your question in the post before this. Disable the SLI configuration from the nvidia controll center and the HD card should turn up. If it dosent, then the HD card gets disabled from a hardware level when the 2nd card gets connected :/ Sorry bro!
  4. Same problem with Y500 SLI conf. I cant confirm this for the Y510P, but with the Y500 the HD card is disabled. Try turning off SLI and see if you can activate Optimus from the nvidia controll center. If you are not able to activate it, then the Y510P probebly has the same problem as the Y500
  5. In my experience : As long as the temps dont reach 100+, you are fine. But if you start to notice massive slowdowns or artifacts, then you should replace the termal paste #Infernal_cowboy : I have not noticed any heat problems with the SLI conf, not even after 7-8h of gameing.
  6. Replacing the harddrive is pretty much a must. Even if W8 is rly good, even great in the sence that it uses the ram very efficently, the harddrive is way to slow to get some actual work done :/ Replace the harddrive with preferably an SSD and give W8 a try With the 8.1 update coming out its most definietly the best operating system (Of all the windows versions at least )
