Ok a little update . use alienrespawn. Burn your discs people lol. Anyway the driver disc is nice and well setup but is missing the alienware specific programs. That said it weighs 12.35 lbs still like it even though I've spent most my time with it reinstalling drivers.

Mine came with an os disk and software/driver disk in the back of the leather manual. Why should we burn a seconed? Or did others not come with disks?

Well I think the problem is I downloaded a virus trying to get a free vantage activation code caus i was toolazy to try and find mine. Time for fresh install. Can't get rid of it and it droped vantage score down below 19k so its working hard at something. Only thing I can find is its a rootkit. I like radion pro though. Ill check fraps as well and ill see once I get my fresh install.

I loaded up shogun 2 and set up a 4X4 ultra battle. I figured this would be a good test of Rapture's "my m18x" performance. I was running around 20-40 fps but it wasnt smooth. is there an m18x stutter removal tutorial available?

okay i ran it for 10 mins and gpu 1 sat at about 77 degrees stable and gpu bounced between 79 and 80 seems to be running fine for me

Hmm GPU 2 is sitting at idle at 64c and gpu 1 49 degrees idle. hmm ill do more testing once i figure out how to use GPU-Z effectively.

ok having a hard time locating furmark 1.8 multi gpu addition, I DL 1.6.5 and it seems to work with both GPU's temp never got over 80c, and going to try again with GPU Z logging the temps.

Get home and she is waiting for me. I open her up. feels way better than the 17xr3. substantial, but not as heavy as i thought she would be. feels like quality. well thats pretty awesome about the screen. im used to my old 1600X900 21" screen from my old desktop. this should more than thrill me. So guy at work is upgrading his old amd machine into a new amd machine and wants to "benchmark race" hes making a big adu about how he will kill my expensive laptop with his machine. he spent 700$ on dual video cards a motherboard, processor and ram. he is sticking with AMD for video cards and processor. I think i may still win even though he is building a desktop. edit: whats your thoughts. he bought all parts from new egg.

nice cant wait to install vantage and 3dmark 11 and see which of our ships are faster out of the gate, wonder what stock variables are on systems like this? neat that we ordered identicle systems. mine says it shipped on the 26th as its the 17th i hope it means it shipped today lol
