  1. Flashing with modded 2.07 ROM yields: IHISI: Flash write error in SMI! SMI: Return Code 0x25 Laptop is locked and fan is on full blast. Will need to disengage the battery to reboot it.
  2. Been at this for a while, so I've generated the new v801Fix.rom bios and I'm still getting this: EC filesize input error Any takers?
  3. Any reports to successful downflashing?
  4. It doesn't combine the SSD and the HDD into one volume. The SSD simply becomes a transparent cache.
  5. If I understand it correctly, SRT works by using your SSD of choice as a cache. It does not combine your HDD and SDD into a single volume like Lenovo's cache system. This makes it more redundant in case of SSD failure/removal.
  6. This is a question that seeks a conclusive answer. All I've seen thus far has been enabling overclocking the GPU.
  7. Tried flashing from windows 7 and got this: IHISI: Flash write error in SMI! SMI Return Code: 0x25 Here's another problem if flashing from Windows causes an error. The laptop will not shut down and will have to be unplugged and have its battery removed.
  8. Much obliged and gladly received, svl7. Is there a readme somewhere with a list of the enabled vs listed features?
  9. In case this was missed and I will heartily take RTFM at this point, what features have been unlocked on the Y580 and what have been confirmed to work? I am simply looking to enable the RAID function so I can make use of Intel RST. The software solutions out there are a tad wonky.
