  1. THANK YOU!!! This was my issue.
  2. Thank you so much for that. I followed the steps and everything seems to be correct. I changed the value from 975 to 1050, saved, and if I close the filed and reopen it it's still at 1050. However if I try running a render test in GPU-Z I'm still maxing out at 975, so I go back and check the file and it resets it to 975 everytime. Any idea why it's doing this?
  3. I don't really want a higher voltage I just want to get it back to stock. How did you manage to adjust your voltage without flashing?
  4. I'm curious did you try overvolting your card beyond 1050v? If so did it work out? I'm stuck at 0.975v. Not matter how many times I flash. So I'm trying to find a way to get my voltage back to stock.
  5. Ok so my voltage is still stuck at 0.975v. I flashed the stock ROM twice, the second time when trying to flash it said "Flash has already been programmed". So I used the command in Svl7s guide to save the current/original BIOS to my usb key. I then read the file and it really is the stock ROM.. 850/1200 with 1050 3d voltage. So why is my voltage still stuck at 0.975? Anyone with any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.
  6. I'm so sick of this. I just tried all of that and it still didn't work. Still stuck at 0.975v. I don't understand why it's doing this. When I flash a new BIOS all the values are still the same. Did that continue to happen for you even when it finally changed? Also I don't understand steps 2 and 3 in your instructions. Are you talking about the same thing in both? Simply uninstalling the devices drivers? I just tried this all multiple times with different drivers and nothing is working. So frustrating ><
  7. When you say uninstall all drivers from your M15X are you talking about all GPU drivers? And by reset you mean reboot your laptop? Also what order d'you do this in. Flash, then uninstall drivers, reinstall, reboot? Or Uninstall drivers first, flash, then reinstall?
  8. Man that is so strange how it didn't flash right away and appeared later. I hope that happens to me. If anyone has any ideas on why this is happening please let me know. So sick of being stuck at 0.975v. I just want to get back to stock. As for the 85C shutdowns it's so random for me. I'll be playing for about 30mins with decent temps 65-75c. Then it will randomly reach +80C and eventually shutdown
  9. Ashram how did you manage to flash? I'm still getting same old/new values for everything. Did you do anything different or did it randomly work?
  10. I'm kind of in the same boat as you. I previously flashed to 0.975v and now anytime I try to flash any different undervolted bios or stock bios it gives me the exact same old and new values as well. I've literally flashed the card almost 10 times now trying to figure this out. As far as clocking/voltage programs not being adjustable, use MSI afterburner. Find the directory file and look for the Msiafterburner.cfg file. Open it in notepad and find this line: UnofficialOverclockingMode = 0. Change the value to 1 and save. You should have adjustable increments now but I'm not sure if you can adjust voltage with it.
  11. Were you talking to me or answering someone else?
  12. I'm having a very strange problem. I flashed my 7970m with the 0.975 undervolt bios. I'm running a 740q CPU so I figured undervolting isn't really necessary for me. Wanted to flash back to stock voltage. I've now flashed the Dell7970m.ROM twice and it's still stuck at 0.975. I even tried flashing the 1000.0v bios and still stuck at 0.975. I know it flashed correctly because when I tried flashing to stock the second time it said "adapter has already been flashed with this" or something to that extent. Anyone have any ideas whats going on?
  13. I installed my 7970m a week ago and I'm having problems getting decent performance out of it. I'm running the 740Q CPU. With farcry3 I'm averaging around 30fps and dips down in the 20's at times. I've monitored my stock clocks they're fine. My temp's are fine too. I don't go far over 70. I just ran 3dmark11 and my combined score is low: Graphic score: 6293 Physics score: 2235 and Combined Score: 1972. Anyone know what might be the issue?
