  1. But maybe a tweaked BIOS can delete this effect. @ svl7 is it possible?
  2. why does 3D-Vision will not work? I'am a little confused about it, where is the difference between GTX 680m and GTX 780m in case of 3D-Vision? Is there a fix planed for the future? The new Alienware17 works well with the GTX780m I think.
  3. is that right, that the GTX780m did not work with 3D-Vision on M17x R4 120 Hz Display. See eBay link ALIENWARE M17x M18x VGA Upgrade Kit; NEW NVIDIA GTX 780M; 4GB DDR5; MXM 3.0b | eBay
  4. You can change the BUS SPEED with Intel's XTU (Intel Extrem Tuning Utility), it works very well. After changing ths BUS SPEED with XTU, you can see the new BUS SPEED also in BIOS too.
  5. I repast my CPU today with "liquid metalpad" and the Temps a really good now. I reached under full-load 3900 MHz at all 4 cores, only 72 degress. I think there is alot more potencial in the i7 3820qm, but 3900 MHz is the most MHz I can choose. I have the unlocked BIOS A10, but more than 39 factor at all 4 cores isn't aviable. I'am very confiused at that, because I saw Benchmarks with i7 3720 qm with much more physic score in 3DMark http://imageshack.us/f/826/3dmark11cevop170em3920x.jpg/ How is this possible???
  6. Thanks Jamessst20, now I have the new unlocked bios, but my i7 3820qm isn't working with Full speed 3900 MHz at all 4 cores all the time, I changed the "Turbo boost power time window" from 28 to max, but after a minute he beginns to throttle to 3500 MHz, the temps are max. 80 degress. Also I changed the throttletemp in BIOS from 80 degress to 90. "Turbo Boost Power max" is set to 57w and "Turbo Boost Short power max" is set to 67w with Intel XTU, but throttling is still present. In the New 3DMark, I geht only 10000 points at Physik score. I have seen Somerset People with I7 3720qm with much higher points. Did you or any other have any idea?
  7. @jamesst20 thx for your answer, but I used the Old version to Flash back to A05. After that, I flashed the original Dell A05 and than the unlocked A10 BIOS with Software Update under Windows (InsydeFlash). Is that wrong?
  8. I have exactly the same problem, the second "Advanced" options are not aviable after flashing from A05 to A10 unlocked. @svl7 Do you have any idea how to resolve this. It's definetly the A10 unlocked svl7 BIOS flahed, but additional options are missing.
  9. In vatage I didn't have this stuttering. In Games it is fine too.
  10. @johnksss sorry, I made a mistake. Yestrerday, I checked the new 3D benchmark in window mode, because I would like to see if GPZ-Z is showing something, but when I bench in fullscreen mode, the stuttering is present if the GPU is overclocked to more than +90 MHz.
  11. ...okay, it's only a Benchmark, you are right. We don't should spend to much time with that. Have a nice day and THX for all your friendly answers.
  12. Hi johnksss, I checked it now, but I did not have this stuttering at 1000 MHz with 2GB GTX 680m, maybe it's a SLI problem, when overclocked?
  13. 1.1V that's realy crazy. Hope that it will not damage your cards. What is with stuttering it you only use the default clocks but with 1.1V VBIOS? I'am shure that there isn't stuttering. I think it's only the too high MHz. But the question is, why is it because of too high MHz and why does the 4GB GTX 680m didn't stutter. Maybe svl7 know's the reason.
  14. What VBios are you useing, if it's not from svl7 AMD how much voltage your VBIOS have? Only via Software?
  15. I don't think that it's because of to high voltage, because I have also the VBIOS from svl7 with 1.05V, and its not shuttering with default clocks.
  16. maybe because of my bad english , thanks a lot for checking
  17. I am on the work at the moment, so I can't send you my Bench, but I found another Bench with overclocked GTX 680m (4 GB memory) without stuttering. I know, that I haven't this stuttering on my M17x R4, without overclocking, I will check with OC at afternoon. Sorry for bad image, can't upload bigger one. You can find a better one here http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/707367-3dmark-released-6.html Do you have this stuttering in an lowered resulution i.e. 1280x720 (maybe it's because of 2GB memory).
  18. @ Mr. Fox and johnksss, why do you have so many peaks and lows at the fire strike Benchmark, is it because of overclocking? Do you have this without overclocking too? It must be a lot of stuttering (see attached image) Maybe it's because of only 2GB memory? With best regards LeonoeL
  19. @Zyron I have an M17xR4 too, and my one is stable at 950 MHz and maybe higher, I used the latest VBIOS Version "Dell 680m - 80.04.33.00.32__'OCedition'_revised_00.zip". Did you try the same? I know, not every graphiccard is same, but +135 MHz is not as much. I also have the A09 Bios installed. Maybe your memoryclocks are to high?
  20. @svl7 it works very well, without throttling in M17x R4 with GTX 680m 2GB.Wonderfull work from your side. Thanks I would by you a bear in the next day's.
  21. @svl7 I tried to Flash the VBIOS "Dell_680m_-_80.04.33.00.32_'OCedition'_revised_00" to my M17xR4 (Default VBIOS) but it won't work for me.I got the following screen. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
