    Has anyone with a Y480 tried the V8.01 yet? I am currently running the unlocked, non-whitelisted V2.06. Wonder if the upgrade is safe or not.

    Thanks for replying. Your method will just change the name of the BIOS, what I would like is the latest BIOS itself without a whitelist. I am already running the V2.06 after modifying the bios version check line.

    svl7, could you please remove the whitelist in the latest BIOS (v2.07) on the previous page? My laptop shipped with the latest one and I would like to use it with a different wifi card. Thanks!!
