  1. btw is it possible to flash the msi 680m vbios on gtx 675mx since both are kepler? ive just checked the kepler vbios section and there are several of them and i also wanted to ask about overvolting. does OV increase temps? i am on stock 180w adapter so OV could cause power lack to mobo ? is OVing some how bad to gpu and mobo on stock 180w adapter? which one should i choose if its possible to flash 680m vbios to 675mx? OV or just unlocked OC edition?

I don't think it is, they are both Kepler but the 675mx has 960 Cuda cores while the 680m has 1334... so there is a significant difference between the two chips.

  2. UPDATE:

Added a fixed A08 version to the -voltage-increase-nvidia-gt-555m-7.html#post12003"]main post. It adds support for the newer 555m revision (GF116) which apparently for which apparently the voltmod hasn't been working properly before. Thanks @7r0jan for testing.

Please report any possible issues, general feedback welcome as well. Have fun overclocking!

Thanks so much for looking into it! :D

EDIT: It's going up to the right voltage, but still not doing much for me. I think this is just because I have a weaker 555m than everyone else for some reason. It makes it farther in 3Dmark11 than it ever did at 740mhz, but still crashes. I can still only run Crysis 2 without crashing and BF3 without artifacts at 700mhz:( Again I imagine this is only me though.

  3. I don't know if it's working. i downloaded the ao8 unlocked modded vbios and the other one for the ao8 because this one didn't seem to work but my msi afteburner maxes to 770/1540 so i'm not sure what im doing wrong. thanks :)

Don't worry about it, I have MAJOR trouble with it as well. It's most likely your chip, the newer kind GF116 has problems with this kind of stuff. Mine also only maxes at 770, and can only stably run games at 700mhz without crashing. Without the voltmod bios it's much worse! I have posted soo much about it in the past on various forums, but sadly there is no way around it. I just have to deal with the fact that some people are playing at 850mhz and I'm down here at 700mhz..maybe if the voltmod was increased a little higher or tweaked for the GF116 it would help, but I think the GF116 just has certain limitations, I don't know why. Hope this helped.
