  1. Sir Lucas, I want to say thank you for answering my question. So far, I have been trying to meddle with the drivers. If I remember correctly, driver 372.70 is the best for no code 43. However, modding is a MUST since it doesn't support GTX 1050. Furthermore, I managed to bypass system checking nvidia installer by modding the driver. But, when I install the driver, the end the installation said that "NVIDIA Installer has failed." Ugh, I have been so excited and then it gave me this error. Is this issue because I mod it wrong? I was sure I followed the tutorial in this link. http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=377158 Also, May i request a modded driver 372.70 for GTX 1050? I would be very happy if there is one available. Now, In my case, I have been trying to do workaround Igor's solution. But I cant find registry nvidia_rebootneeded in HKEY_LOCALMACHINE/SOFTWARE. How do I solve this? Thank you.
  2. Hello there, this is my first time posting in this forum. I want to say that I have been very annoyed with the performance of my old laptop. My ASUS Laptop is quite weak which is I3 3rd gen and NVIDIA GT 635M. I have bought NVIDIA GTX 1050 and the complete requirements such as EXP GDC v8 and Corsair CX 450M. I followed the tutorial in YouTube. I have successfully managed this far. So, I opened Device Manager and the new card shows “Microsoft basic display adapter” so I install the newest driver and it now shows NVIDIA GTX 1050. However, there’s a code 43. How do I fix this? I have few questions to ask since I am new to this EGPU DIY. 1. When installing a new card to a laptop, should I install driver that is intended for notebook or Desktop? As NVIDIA provide 2 options. 2. There was a case when I turn on my laptop, the card fan and PSU starts but seconds later, it is off again. What was the cause of it? 3. I have heard that the newest driver often cause code 43 to an EGPU. If that’s the case, what is the best driver software suited for this card? 4. How do I set primary GTX 1050 as main NVIDIA card as I have two NVIDIA Card? 5. Do I have to install two drivers or only one installation is needed? Since I have two cards one is GT 635 in Laptop, the other is GTX 1050 external one. (Not Counting INTEL HD GRaphics). Thank you very much. I hope people in this forum can help me. Edited: My Asus Model is Asus K46CM which is old. Also I am having BIOS Locked. No option for Hotplugging or whatever it is. If I may ask, for those who have GTX 1050 (Non TI) drivers that work that doesn't show code 43, may I ask for that driver modded? I have been having not enough sleep due to this issue. I don't want what I bought wasted cause I invent so much for this. Thank you guys.
