I'm still waiting for jmhdj news about the 680m i really wanna upgrade mine but here in Brazil everything is so F*** expensive :/ ex: gtx680m = $800 in brazil this values goes beyond $1200 EASY!! Taxes and other stuff that sellers here like to push into us >/

Yeah i can't wait to see it, it's awesome, because if your changes work i'll do the same!! the only bad is.... a new gtx680m is almost $800 :/

hi there if you're going for the upgrade please let me know too, i was thinking into upgrade mine g73sw with an gtx660m (JW worked see Conkers and svl7 post). Post any news (good or bad) about your upgrade "trial" >D Anyways keep the good work man ?D

Yeah i was thinking that the problem is the SB, cause jh has old I's cpu, also i was thinking about the chipset and so on, about going on tinkering the bios of the g73sw, if i had the tools and skills to save/edit the bios and even if the note doesnt boot, do like we do in PC that is using a piece of hardware that rewrites the bios... sad... can't believe that i will have to sell my notebook :/

Thank you Brian, i already took him appart to change the paste, its quite easy, and im thinking into build the keyboard color mod, that is on youtube pretty cool. What im looking for is if i can upgrade it i´ve talked to svl7 and he says that the connector is the same but the problem is the rest asus proprietary tinkering T_T, kinda sad. Anyways, im still looking for someone who tried to modify the bios or something... i wish i had more $$$ to buy stuff and try by myself.

True, but do you think that the vbios will work for the SW as well?? and its hard to find one gtx660m easy to find the JH heatsink but the 660m >/ even more hard because im from Brazil, and im willing to give it a try... i could do it for the 7970m too but no one ever tried it... no one even thinks about mios mod the SW its sad :/

what im thinking if is it possible to change it, and what should i do to work??? bios mod? find an Asus Gtx660m or can be any mxm 3b?? I can go for it and buy it can be ati or nvidia, i just want to upgrade it :/ and give my notebook 1 or 2 more years of good use . And i was thinking into taking out the wireless and put a msata is it possible??? (i just use some usb wifi, cause i just use it for internet)

Hi again guys, There's no one in the forum that tested the g73sw GPU swap??? if i got other gpu`s to test or even another notebook i could do it too.... i looked a lot and found some evidences in chinese forums, but no videos or complete how tutorials, only some pictures so i really don't know if it's possible or not :/

Hi there guys, I'm looking the forums looking for any trace of information regarding the G73SW GPU upgrade. There´s some members who did some mods and upgraded their notebooks gpu as the models: g73jh, g73jw. But i dont see anyone saying that is possible to do it with the SW too. So im here asking for any information that can lead me to do it, even more what kind of cards works on sw, links for bioses and so on. I love my g73sw but here in Brazil, notebooks and even parts cost like 3 times the normal value (taxes and so on).... So please if anyone can help me out i'll be glad and i will spread the word that this works here. What i'm looking here is veridic information, not some gossip bout we can/can´t do it.... I have ready $600 to spend on it and if it goes wrong... (im screwed) I love my SW and dont want to let him get outdated and i dont have the money to buy an alienware or a sager. anyways thanks for your time guys!!!

yeah thats the one... the problem is i really dont want to mes up my system... and waste money to test it and in the end this dont work.... but i dont know anyone in the web (at the moment) that made this change.

Hi there, im new here and im looking to see if i can upgrade my G73SW VGA card too, is it possible? i only see people talking about jh jw but i never bumped in a thread talking about upgrading SW vga!! If there`s is any way please can you guys help me because, i lovev my SW im with this baby for almost 2 years and its getting outdatted!! Thanks guys.
