One guy tried to use the adapter on a Y410p and failed. I have no experience with Y410p and I can't guarantee the functionality. You need always an external monitor for the GPU on the adapter.

Unfortunately the plug for the Ultrabay is end of life and I can't buy additional plugs. I have some PCBs but no plugs for it. If you can find the plug anywhere in the internet I can provide you the PCB. A118113CT-ND TE Connectivity AMP Connector2199015-1 PLUG ASSY FOR 0.635 BAY CONN.

I have only one adapter still available. If more people need such an adapter I can start a new order batch. The minimum order number ist about 20 pcs. If a lot of people are interested in such an adapter they can answer to this discussion. If the number is reached I start a new eBay offer. The shipping time is about 6-8 weeks because the PCB has to be ordered. -
Reading the eGPU temperature and the fan speed should work. I'm using the AMD driver Crimson 16.9.2 and a AMD R9 Nano. I have disabled all other graphic hardware in the device manager.

My last information from Lenovo side was Y510 and Y500 has the same Ultrabay connector. But I have never tested a Y500 with this adapter.

@Tesla: I have checked the schematics of the mainboard. All PCIe lanes are connected directly from the main processor to the mGPU (GTX) and to the Ultrabay adapter. So there is no reason why the external GPU should not work. It must be a BIOS whitelist which blocks nvidia cards.
