Well flashed A05 with a usb stick and sucessfully flashed but didnt fix the battery prob

Hi guys so I replaced my MB in the R3 with a R4 MB because my mxm port was bad and sure enough my 780m is showing up and installed but for whatever reason my battery is not charging and I cannot flash from A12 to A11 unlocked because it needs the battery so I can finish setting up my 780m I heard its a error with the A12 bios. Any thoughts ?

Wow this is pretty cool. I have a bad mxm port on my r3 MB and I'm looking at buying a new motherboard now and using the 780m I just purchased.

Yeah it's been done multiple times. I reflashed it to the a12 modied bios. Just sucks I was hoping it wasn't the motherboard and the old card was actually bad and I was just doing something wrong :( It should show up in the bios with peg enabled and sound disabled and internal card disabled but nothing.

But did it show in the bios Darren ?

So my m17x r3 6970m stopped working so I assumed the card was bad. Didn't see it in the bios so I bought the 780m and still nothing. It should atleast say something for the discrete graphics. Is it possible my motherboard is damaged ?

the problem is it says you need to have the card working in the bios before you install the drivers apprently. i think it has something to do with the sound working correctly. NO MORE USB SOUNDCARD! 2) Once in windows disable driver signing. .1 -Open command prompt (Admin) windows key + X .2 -Type "bcdedit /set {current} testsigning yes" (without quotes) enter. .3 -"The operation concluded successfully" .4 -Type exit> reboot. 3) Driver installation. Download GeForce 344.11 WHQL .1 Extract driver using 7-Zip/winrar. Right click extract to "3xx.xx-notebook-win8-win7-64bit-international-whql" .2 -Display.Driver folder -> copy/overwrite nvdmi.inf. .3 -Extracted 3xx.xx-notebook-win8-win7-64bit-international\ run setup.exe .4 -Select custom install -> check clean install option. .5 -Reboot. nvdmi.inf (unzip) Modded nvdmi.inf v344.11 4) Exit windows 8 test mode. .1 -Again open command prompt (Admin). .2 -Type "bcdedit /set {current} testsigning no" enter. .3 -Type exit>reboot. so i cant set the video to peg because the card isn't registering.

Hello guys I am upgrading from a 6970m to a 780m in my m17x r3 I thought before my 6970 was dead being it stopped working and wouldn't show up in the bios. same problem with my new 780m. I'm running the modified a12 bios. the display drivers or anything to do with windows should have nothing to do with the card not showing up in bios correct? Thanks for any help in advance. running windows 10, a12 unlocked bios,60hz screen and non 3d.

I have a old m17x r3. I play on steam but I don't know a lot of pc gamers so always looking for new friends and games to play.
