The nvdmi file where I add in my hardware id scripts ?

Hey guys has anyone had problems with updating their r4 with newer drivers ? Ive modded the nvdmi file with my hardware id and worked just fine up to 368.81 and after nothing will work. the newest 390.77 went past system check license agree and options really fast then shows all the items not installed and fails says drivers failed. any ideas ? Thank you in advance for any help

So I decided to update my drivers for the 980m on my r4 to newest version, modified the nvdmi files as normal and rebooted with driver sig disabled and wont work. Has anyone had this problem ?

Yeah I tried each one individually the left one sounds distorted as well. And the tone is on bootup. Oh well. External speakers will be fine.

So I ordered a new MB to rebuild another m17x r4 I had laying around but when I boot I instantly get a high pitch tone from the right speaker. In Windows playing sound you can barely hear anything and the sound is very distorted and sounds like the speakers have no power. Audio jack works just fine. Anyone had this problem before ?

oh btw what heatsink are you using for the 980m the 20f0 works but requires really thick pads, is the 30f0 or 40f0 better ?

literally jus call dell and order how much is it ? is it big and bulky ? send me the part number of the one you have to make sure it is 100% the one I buy please.

So the 3940xm and 980m is pulling quite a bit of power I'm pushing 208 watts or so out of the 240 watts. Time to upgrade to the 330 I guess ? It's getting pretty hot.

Yep working good ! Now I modified a script in the game folder in documents for fallout and skyrim works great set vysnc on locked. Games staying at 60fps. Sniper elite nazi zombies ran at 140 150 fps before was nice. Funny thing while I'm playing SE zombies and plug in headphones it disables the vysnc and the fps go way up lol. Click out and back in goes back to 60fps locked.

So finally got my 980m in today and install was a breeze I've been fighting this 780m and turned out to be something wrong with the card. I'm now running the 980m on the 120hz screen it looks great ! 3940xm with m14 r2 fan modified to fit only had to remove one tab and slightly modify the other two flows great. If anyone needs help let me know. The only wierd problem I have is fallout 4 is stuck at 30fps and on the 60hz was 60fps so not sure what's going on but I'll figure it out.

Just got mine working today I was using the 60hz first trying fallout switched to 120hz screen running 30 fps.

Just looking for a new game to play thought about ff14 I played ffx11 for awhile. Any good online games other than wow ?

Has anyone ran the 120hz screen on full uefi ? i have the 660m in with a modified vbios to run full eufi works great on my 60hz screen but the 120hz wont boot unless legacy rom is enabled. Anyone know why ? Waiting on my 980m to arrive so just trying to get everything working correctly.
