    Whaaa... thank you so much! Well I haven't checked if it works yet but thanks for trying!
    If I get a blue screen then bummer, but thanks man :D

    Edit:

    Ok first I tried to do the probably noob thing and just copy/paste it. First on the line written (7422). Didn't work, just got more errors, and then deleted it. Then I tried to carefully write it over. Same thing.
    Tried copy/paste on the actual line where the error was reported, more errors. Tried to carefully write it over, again more errors.

    Fur fok saik man! Why does it have to be this hard to be a gamer :P

    Isn't there an program? Or something that does this type of task automatic? Or a site who provide this type of work for a fee?

    Not to undermine the great people of this forum, all praises to thee! Just a general wondering.

    Hi guys

    are any of you good at fixing errors when compiling the damn thing?

    I've got zero warnings, remarks or optimizations, just 4 freaking syntax errors. And all of the information I can find, are from hackintosh sites, where they just say "just use this "insert name here" mac program and you're good to go!"

    I'm so close on finishing this override! Can someone please help?

    Hi, i just gave it a shoot and fixed the syntax error but i cannot tell you that i changed the variables correct so hope this section is unused and you don't get blue screen:

    (line:7422)
    If (\_SB.PCI0.LPC.EC.ASBF == One)
    {
    	OperationRegion (AMSA, SystemMemory, \_SB.PCI0.RP09.PEGP.BADR, 0x00010000)
    	Field (AMSA, AnyAcc, NoLock, Preserve)
    	{
    		Offset (0x53F0),
    		ASBT,   8
    	}
    	If (\_SB.PCI0.RP09.PEGP.BADR (0xFFFFFFFF) != AMSA)
    	{
    		If (ASBT != 0x83)
    		{
    			ASBT = 0x83
    		}
    	}
    }

    Ok so using FurMark to stress test my GPU. it immediate crashes the eGPU and switches to my internal monitor and iGPU. Same with any games. Seems like as soon as the 750ti gets some work it disconnects until i pop out the expresscard and replug it back in.

    You should hop into the mPCIe/EC troubleshooting thread and read the first post and the comments.

    Still after it working i get no Large memory section under >Resources by connection

    This means I am still stuck in (code 12) when i connect my gpu.

    Any and all help is greatly apprecaited.

    Attached is a picture of my device manager and also the DSDT.dsl i used.

    Make sure testsigning is enabled (run this command as admin and then reboot):

    bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON

  5. I compiled your posted dsl file without any problems using the latest tools: https://www.acpica.org/downloads/binary-tools

    Only one min/max/length error but you can solve it with this formula Length=max-min+1

    line:2194

                        0x00000000,         // Granularity
                        0x00000000,         // Range Minimum
                        0xFEDFFFFF,         // Range Maximum
                        0x00000000,         // Translation Offset
                        0xFEE00000,         // Length | default value was: 0x00000000

  6. You don't need to disable the intel igp, install it's drivers to.

    Try to sleep (not hibernate) / wake the computer with the delay switch turned on and search for hardware changes in the device manager when it comes back plus ~10sec (delay expires, fans starts to spin).

    Keep try it until the card shows up without error (not forever but at least 10-15 times). If it is still err43 after so many tries then i have no other idea.

    1. sleep
    2. wake
    3. wait until the egpu fan starts or the LED on the adapter turns off (~10sec)
    4. search for hardware changes
    5. if still error, back to step1 and repeat

    Magic tip, try to put the components far away from each other psu-egpu-notebook.

  7. I don't know, i bought it almost a year ago when this fancy order page didn't existed and he replied via email.

    For the second part, you can't do it without the program, if you still get error code 12 after dsdt then windows is just stupid and you have to allocate the space before windows loads.

  8. Black Screen:

    There is a delay switch on the adapter to prevent bios hangs while egpu is connected (black screen or bios logo hang).

    If it still hangs then try to set the delay to max and isolate pin22(PERST#) on the mpcie connector (and always do shutdown/power on instead of restart).

    The port can be whitelisted but asus don't really do such things. If it has whitelist then setup1.3 can solve it or just hotswap what you already did.

    Card showed up:

    You said the device shows up on hotswap but you didn't give us any info about the error. If there is an exclamation mark next to the egpu just open it and read the description.

    Error 12 means not enough free resources => PCI compaction with setup1.3 or DSDT override or dsdt+pci compaction will solve it.

    Error 43 means the driver has some issues to start the egpu => DDU, reinstall drivers, check PSU, sleep/wake then search for hardware changes after the adapter delay expires, etc. (that's a tricky error)

    That doesn't sound like I have a huge performance hit from x1.2opt.

    Gtx970 gets about 11.k firestrike fhd in desktop configurations.

    If I use gtx970 with x1.2opt, if i get 9k, that's still 80% performance. Sounds great to me.

    But if you are using your buit-in monitor the egpu needs to copy back all the frames to your igp via the x1 link and thats another minus -10-20% depending on how havily taxing the game the pcie link.

    Hi all, I'm new of the forum and I'm trying to use an eGPU setup using windows 10.

    My hardware is:

    Asus n55sf

    i7-2630QM

    8GB ram

    gt555m

    eGPU: Asus GTX 650 using EXP GDC BEAST v8.

    at the moment, in order to use the eGPU i need to boot with the wifi card on --> suspend the pc --> replace the wifi card with the EXP GDC BEAST. in this way i'm able to use the eGPU without any problem.

    I would like to avoid this annoying procedure and keep the eGPU always connected but if I do so, I have a Blue Screen of Death with the ACPI_BIOS_ERROR at windows boot. i've also tried to isolate the #PERST pin (pin 22) but in this case the eGPU is not detected.

    Anyone of you have any idea on how to solve this issue?? is there a workaround to make it work?? Like a DSDT modification?

    Thank you

    Simone

    Hi.

    If i were you i just unlock my bios and set the TOLUD value to fix 2.25gb and disable the dgpu. Then you can forget about dsdt override.

    After that just reinstall windows because you probably get ACPI_BIOS_ERROR if you modify your TOLUD, at least thats what happend on my N53SN.

    Pin22 isolation only needs if your bios hangs at startup on every delay settings(motherboard forces #PERST instantly).

    So in the end my system only needs PIN22+PCI compaction with setup1x to work with the eGPU.

    Your bios modding needs the exact same steps(N53S and N55S and N550JV bioses are almost identical), so you can just do the exact same steps with your bios file, and yes i checked it before i sent you this message but only flash it with your own risk [N55SFAS_207_unlocked.rom] and i strongly recommend to do the steps yourself and not just download and yolo what i linked. For last word you will unlock bunch of new options and you can set up these new setting wrong (for example: don't disable the igp)  causing black screen upon boot --> CMOS reset helps. But if you just play with the settings what you need then you are good.

  11. Funny part is running dota2 in the background(windowed with engine_no_focus_sleep "0") while browsing almost ~100% solves this issue. Btw i'm still waiting for the converter, but i can confirm running from battery without the charger helps nothing... So we need some electrician expert here who has idea what is going on. Usually when these crashes happen the gpu fans stops spinnig(system freezes) but sometimes just black screen and freeze or black screen and music continues.
