  1. the supplied dell da2 brick is not enough for the modern heavy power consumption cards, as stated by bplus. it's a shame that GDC Beast is not portable at all with all those extra devices.
  2. yes you can set the preferred gpu to run games but the actual ingame performance is that of the igpu T.T
  3. yea that went fine as expected, just that i only wanted to use the internal display despite the performance cut, hate to stick around with a monitor
  4. i followed his guide to the letter, everything was going fine,to the step "reinsert gtx" and powered on,blackscreen and cannot get into bios T.T m17x r4, i7 3630qm gtx 680m win 10,how should i go from here?
  5. EXP GDC Beast is quite unstable as Tech Inferno Fan mentioned, so i bought a new pe4c v3 instead, everything works out as it should be however there's a problem with a spare power supply (480w) that gave me the "egpu not detected" again, switched out for a 730w and things go smoothly ,no idea if insufficient power or not ....
  6. hi, After some helps from nando and searched various related threads i was able to setup my egpu GTX 780 Ti but games kept running with iGpu, i want to run with my internal LCD display (external monitor running fine) i've read that optimus might not work with windows 10,my specs: Alienware m17x r4 bios version a13 intel i7 3630qm Igpu : intel HD 4000 dgpu gtx 680m egpu gtx 780 ti ram 8gb windows 10 x64 turned off dgpu in setup 1.30, pci compaction and chainloaded into windows all fine i've installed nvidia desktop driver v355.82 x64, since my bios doesnt allow idpu to be turned off, i set default graphic processor to gtx 780 ti but performance still the same as if running on igpu ( <10 fps) i tried to disable the igpu in device manager but it seems the internal is attached to the igpu so that would not help. should i install another specific driver to get my games running on egpu? Please help me ,thanks
  7. i followed your linked guide to cover the pin 23 bottom side, plugged in and the fan spins real fast as in max power state but egpu still not found -.- thanks for your helps,it's driving me insane lol
  8. Thanks nando for help, sadly i tried that following your guide in whitelist section, but again "not detected" T.T. in case of hotplugging,it gave me a black/green screen after plugging in,few times it did not but f5 not detected yet again. I tested the kit on another laptop and hardware worked fine, deteted and working as it should,no case of faulty hardwares here. Im using windows 10.
  9. hi, i had my EXP GDC eGPU (BEAST V 7.0) a few days ago but my egpu kept giving the "egpu not detected" in diy 1,30 as well as not showing up in windows device manager. I've read through many threads and tried many different ways( except DSDT override) to solve it myself to no avail .. My laptop : Alienware m17x R4 ram 8g Igpu: intel hd 4000, dGpu Nvidia GTX 680m, eGPU is Nvidia GTX780 Ti both jumper set to off, i tried with PTD set to 7 and 14 but it didn't work either i tried it all, hotplug, disabled dGpu in diy 1.30, pretty much all steps from 1.30 guide, my egpu is powered on,fan spins normally .. Please help ...
