  1. Hmm well yeah then i'm out of ideas sadly. The only thing which you already mentioned is maybe reflash via Recovery method, but for me it's still weird it just hangs there at the splash screen, when starting up the notebook and the splash screen appears can you press "Tab" ? Normally text only bios should show

  2. First and foremost What Notebook are you using?

So you can move around in bios? First thing just reset Bios to defaults in BIOs theni would check if the boot order is set correctly, check if UEFI is set or the other way around. If the BIOS is using UEFI by default und u were using a non-uefi OS then you can't boot ofc.
Sefondly are USB devices attached right now?

  3. Start of the 77xDM2/3 and 870DM2/3 seems weird in Europe, wrote CEG an email about the 120hz and they wrote "Not possible". Nexoc.de lists the P870DM2/3 nur no mention of a 120hz FullHD Option.

Until the OEMs (Clevo and others) can get closer to achieving aerospace precision, I think a spaghetti labyrinth made this way is going to be a frequent hit or miss proposition. The last thing a customer that paid big bucks for an expensive product should have to deal with is wide variances in quality that affect fit and functionality. With some luck you might have success tweaking a deformed setup like this, but that is going to be hit or miss and could make matters worse. The slightest amount of variance in fit can have a large adverse impact on thermal management. The thought process has merit, but so far the execution always seems to leave something to be desired.

can totally confirm your words, i had to mod the screws on my old P771ZM and my now P771DM-G to get much better temps on my CPU, on idle without the mod it was around the same but on load there were a 5-10 °C difference, probably caused by the more even distributed preasure. Now after the screw mod and delidding my 6700k 3 weeks ago i happily sit at max 65 °C CPU and 69 °C GPU when playing Overwatch or GW2, the latter absolutely kicked the CPU to 90 °C level without the Delid, still it's only 4.2Ghz but yeah.

  5. so beside the fact the thread get's me more and more horny for the P775DM3 just to get the information right, i have picked up the following so far, please correct everything i done wrong:

    I noticed that the

    • P870DM2(-G) Single 1080 or 1070 SLI with the older Style Cooling System, right?
    • P870DM3(-G) SLI 1080,1070 and theoretical Single 1080,1070, with the newer Vapor Chamber System?

so that means with the little Sister Version of the Beastman (?)

    • P775DM2 (non G) Single 1060,1070 and with 120Hz Support (according to Clevo Homepage), old but improved Cooling System?
    • P775DM2-G Single 1060,1070 with Gsync Support (still the old LG Panels like the ones used in the P771DM?, Pending 120Hz Gsync cert), old but improved Cooling System?
    • P775DM3 (non G) Single 1080,1070,1060 and with the same as above 120Hz Screen Support, Improved Cooling System (Vapor Chamber too?)
    • P775DM3-G Single 1080,1070,1060 with Gsync Support (same question as the P775DM2-G as above + Vapor Chamber?)

And are there already some information about the screens too, i really really want to pull the trigger to buy it already :hyper: but i NEED 1080 (could live with a 1070 too tho, i could surely OC it to match my 980TI @ 1450Core) and 120Hz (low response rate)

  6. same here without no 120hz no new NB, besides the fact a friend of mine is actually buying my NB from me too , don't even know if i could technically upgrade my current P771DM-G to the 120hz screen, the IPS is nice and all but i prefer the low response time from TN over good colours, if i play on my NB i mostly play on LANs and some training matches of Overwatch and don't wanna carry my monitor around all the time lol

  7. sounds weird tbh, never heard of US/EU differences between screens besides the P770/P771 grill exhaust style, would be really surprising, i actually wanted the 120hz FullHD TN and could live without that useless GSYNC.

Sadly I was told by CEG that there won't be any 120hz clevo models available in Europe... I would love to buy from HID if it wasn't for the import tax.

    Echoing some others here:

    1. How well does the P775 cool a single 1080 in comparison to the P870DM2 and - DM3?

    2. Is there a performance difference between the models if all run a single 1080?

    3. The P775 comes with a single 330W if configured with 1080, how about the P870DM2 and - DM3? I know Prema said the standard configuration is 2x 230W for 1070 and 2x 330W for 1080, but that hopefully only refers to SLI, no?

What 120hz screens do you mean, the Full HD or the 4k ones, i'm already talking with my reseller about the P775DM3-G with 1080, so i can actually try to get rid of my Desktop PC which works extremely well now after delidding the 3770k but still the 1080 should be almost or as fast as my 980TI @ 1450/3900

I've  finally had the chance to experience gsync for the first time over the past couple of days..  Color me unimpressed. I've got my screen OCed to 100hz so it probably makes less of an impact at high fps...  But geez...  I don't see what all the fuss was about.

yep i'm mostly unimpressed by it too it is a nice gimmick imho but i would take 100-120hz over gsync any day, i think in GW2 it helped somewhat cause the game is prone to stutter quite a lot if textures get's streamed, but it really is the only game i actually noticed something. That's probably why i still rock a pretty old Asus Monitor on my Desktop too, one of the first 120hz 3DVision 1 capable displays, but still to date i didn't even saw a single screen i want to switch to, plus the fact Fast Sync is much more useful for me imho

  10. These 120Hz TN displays will hopefully use the same eDP connection my P771DM-G have, doesn't matter to me if they have G-Sync compatibility i have it disabled 90% of the time anyways, the only game i own where Gsync is godsent is Guild Wars 2, in Overwatch, CSGO and Quake Live i prefer tearing over slight mouse delay. Like @Mr. Fox and @D2ultima i ultimately prefer TN Panels over IPS cause 90% of my time i play on my NB or Desktop so i prefer lower latency over better pictures/colors.

  11. yeah you have to use the detailed resolution block, just copy the exisiting 60hz entry by doubleclicking it and press "copy" there on the top, then close the window and press "Add..." then "...Paste" and edit the value you want in the lower Frequency > Refresh Rate box. And no you don't have to use the Custom extension block, at least i didn't had to, i think it's only for the 256byte EDID screens.

  12. Clevo Germany

it s from germany thou, im pretty sure there will something in the uk 2

    980m is 650€ without vat

Clevo Germany aren't selling these directly anymore i guess, i wrote them a email about a 980m and they redirected me to this website instead.

I asked mySN.de too about selling these card(s) and they told me too they aren't selling them, only Nexoc wanted to sell me the card(s) so far.

Hope i could help a bit :pride:
