Hi, I have an Asus G751JY with the i7 4710HQ.
With the first BIOS (oldest one) it was possible to raise up the CPU multipliers to 37-36-35-35 using Intel XTU. Then Asus limited the multipliers, and with the newer BIOS versions the multipliers can go to 36-35-34-34 maximum.
In some games (mostly rFactor2, not very optimized for CPU) I noticed that GPU is bottlenecked by CPU, and even 100MHZ makes visible improvements.
Is it possible to unlock the 37-36-35-35 multipliers even in the newest BIOS? If so, is it possible to go above these multipliers, too?

209 (newest) - http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/G751JY/G751JYAS209.zip
Thank you really much.

I always used MX-4 with optimum results. Now I'm planning of repaste my G751 and probably I will try IC Diamond and compare it with MX-4.
Do you think I should take the IC Diamond 7 or the 24? 1,5 gr seems a bit too little..

Hello
I have a cuestion
I have my Alienware M18x r1 with Gtx Geforce 680m 4gb (pulled from a Clevo)
This method works for me?
Or it will brick my Laptop or Gpu?
This guide works for you gtx 680m, too. You just have to use the correct vBios.

after the flash of the moded bios can i come back to the stock bios if a black screen happens or a change of heart?
You can re-flash the stock vBios with the same procedure.. just backup your stock vBios with GPU-z or with the command nvflash -b filename.rom

Hi
I read on the official Asus forum that the G751 has NO arrenty seal of notice (maybe only the "blue" ink on the screws when you un-screw them). So you should be ok with dismantelyung it yourself.
Thank you for the answer
Do you know if a different thermal compound will void the warranty?

Hi, I have a G751JY and I'm thinking to re-apply thermal compound.
I read that the G750 has a warranty seal on one of the heatsink bolt.. it's the same with the G751? Or are there any other warranty seal?
Thanks

Hi @tmash,
I have a G751JY with i7-4710HQ OCed +2 bins with ThrottleStop, I follow these steps but for some reasons I can't go past 37x multiplier with TS 8.2. I removed all the block of the Microcode update (mine was "1C" version, 5400 lenght).
My question is: if I want to try "00" or "06" version of Microcode (like @Derlep did), have I just to replace "1C" with "00" with HxD or I need to replace the whole block of 5400 with another block?
Thanks in advance
