  1. Hi @tmash, I have a G751JY with i7-4710HQ OCed +2 bins with ThrottleStop, I follow these steps but for some reasons I can't go past 37x multiplier with TS 8.2. I removed all the block of the Microcode update (mine was "1C" version, 5400 lenght). My question is: if I want to try "00" or "06" version of Microcode (like @Derlep did), have I just to replace "1C" with "00" with HxD or I need to replace the whole block of 5400 with another block? Thanks in advance
  2. Hi, I have an Asus G751JY with the i7 4710HQ. With the first BIOS (oldest one) it was possible to raise up the CPU multipliers to 37-36-35-35 using Intel XTU. Then Asus limited the multipliers, and with the newer BIOS versions the multipliers can go to 36-35-34-34 maximum. In some games (mostly rFactor2, not very optimized for CPU) I noticed that GPU is bottlenecked by CPU, and even 100MHZ makes visible improvements. Is it possible to unlock the 37-36-35-35 multipliers even in the newest BIOS? If so, is it possible to go above these multipliers, too? Links to original BIOS from Asus: 202 (oldest) - http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/G751JY/G751JYAS202.zip 209 (newest) - http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/G751JY/G751JYAS209.zip Thank you really much.
  3. I always used MX-4 with optimum results. Now I'm planning of repaste my G751 and probably I will try IC Diamond and compare it with MX-4. Do you think I should take the IC Diamond 7 or the 24? 1,5 gr seems a bit too little..
  4. This guide works for you gtx 680m, too. You just have to use the correct vBios.
  5. You can re-flash the stock vBios with the same procedure.. just backup your stock vBios with GPU-z or with the command nvflash -b filename.rom
  6. Thank you for the answer Do you know if a different thermal compound will void the warranty?
  7. Hi, I have a G751JY and I'm thinking to re-apply thermal compound. I read that the G750 has a warranty seal on one of the heatsink bolt.. it's the same with the G751? Or are there any other warranty seal? Thanks
