  1. Even though I'm using Windows 7? I get the following when attempting to run the cmd line when running cmd as admin: C:\Windows\system32>bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy The element data type specified is not recognized, or does not apply to the specified entry. Run "bcdedit /?" for command line assistance. Element not found.
  2. @J95 My Hardware IDs are as follows: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0126&SUBSYS_048F1028&REV_09 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0126&SUBSYS_048F1028 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0126&CC_030000 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0126&CC_0300 I'm not sure I understand the good they will do since I can't boot with anything but internal graphics or the original graphics cards. I suppose If I understood I wouldn't be having so many problems though huh? I've skipped DSE like you said, but I still get: NVIDIA Installer cannot continue This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware. on driver install after replacing nv_dispi.inf This has been very frustrating and Eurocom has been less than helpful.... if you could please get me a little further, I'd be very grateful! Thanks Kindly!
  3. @J95 I'm having difficulties upgrading my m18xr1 video cardto dual 860m's or even a single 860m. On boot I get a blue screen followed by reboot; safe mode doesn't help. I've uninstalled all video/graphics drivers and tried both the unlocked 03 & 05 drivers and both video cards. I can only seem to get the laptopto boot with internal or 560m installed. I was told you might be able to help.... I've read your previous posts and followed your instructions; however, I can never get past the compatibility check with the Nvidia drivers. One thing I did notice is that while the bios seems to recognize the cards as Nvidia Graphics cards. The bios doesn't seem to know that they are 860m's , while with the old cards it does identify them as 560m's .. if that makes any sense...maybe that isn't helpful. Thanks in advance!
  4. Thank you so much for your response! No, I'm certain they are not Dell branded... Dell was less than helpful when I inquired with them about doing and upgrade, I got my cards through Eurocom.
  5. Thank you so much for doing this, unfortunately I'm having difficulties upgrading my m18xr1 video card to dual 860m's or even a single 860m. On boot I get a blue screen followed by reboot; safe mode doesn't help. I've uninstalled all video/graphics drivers and tried both the unlocked 03 & 05 drivers and both video cards. I can only seem to get the laptop to boot with internal or 560m installed. Does anyone have any ideas? Please help....😢
